Will Trent Season 4 Promo: Cast Busts a Move Before Premiere

The Will Trent cast is celebrating their season 4 return with a contagious musical performance.

In Us Weekly‘s exclusive glimpse at the promo — and key art — for the upcoming season, Ramón Rodríguez, Erika Christensen, Iantha Richardson, Jake McLaughlin, Sonja Sohn, Kevin Daniels, Cora Lu Tran and even Bluebell the dog bust a move to “Time Has Come Today” by The Chambers Brothers.

The stylish sequence is a nod to the show’s 2025 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Choreography for Scripted Programming. The first look comes ahead of the show’s season 4 return, which is slated for January 6.

“Will can be pretty tense and set in his ways — maybe even a little neurotic. So it’s refreshing to see him finally let go and have some fun,” Rodríguez, 46, told Us about getting to film the sneak peek. “A theme we’ve talked about this season is Will unraveling, and that can take many forms.”

He continued: “In this promo, it shows up as something light, fun, and carefree in spirit. I think it’s a bold, fresh way to kick off season 4 — and we had an absolute blast filming it!”

The actor enjoyed getting to show off his skills on the dance floor.

“Growing up in an apartment with three sisters and a mother who loved to dance, I didn’t really have a choice,” he recalled. “Birthdays, holidays — any excuse for a party — I’d get pulled onto the floor and had to learn fast to keep up with them.”

After his mother “dragged” him to a salsa class, Rodríguez “truly discovered” his passion for dancing. He was thrilled at the opportunity to put on a show with his costars by his side.

“I have to say, our cast can move! Last season, we had an episode where Will was drugged, and the entire cast entered his hallucination dancing — it was such a delight to watch,” he noted. “There isn’t a weak link in the group. We can go toe-to-toe with anyone, and we’re lucky to have an incredible duo of choreographers who keep us looking sharp.”

Daniels, 48, who plays Franklin Wilks on the hit ABC series, previously teased what fans can expect.

“The audience loves it. We found a great audience and we seem to find more and more people each season. It’s just going to be more of the same — but just bigger,” he shared with Us in September. “The stakes definitely get raised. There’s going to be stuff going on.”

Daniels noted that “everything is possible” when it comes to onscreen surprises.

Will Trent returns to ABC on January 6 at 8 p.m. ET before streaming the next day on Hulu.
