Whitney Leavitt Weighs In on Mormon Wives ‘Wild’ Fruity Pebbles Drama

Whitney Leavitt has entered the fruity pebbles sex chat — but doesn’t want to take sides when it comes to Secret Lives of Mormon Wives costars Demi Engemann and Jessi Ngatikaura’s ongoing feud.

“Oh, gosh, yeah, it’s wild,” Whitney, 32, exclusively told Us Weekly of fruity pebbles gate while attending the L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth Celebration on Tuesday, December 2. “Sometimes I’m like, ‘We got to stay offline. We got to just talk to each other face to face.’ But, yeah, it’s wild.”

When asked whose side she’s on between Demi, 31, and Jessi, 33, amid the scandal, Whitney pleaded the fifth. “No comment,” she said with a laugh.

For those unfamiliar with the inner workings of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast, Jessi dropped a bombshell last month when she claimed that “fruity pebbles sex,” which Demi first mentioned on season 1 of the show, actually referred to Demi peeing on her husband Bret Engemann as foreplay.

“Since she wants to be petty and be an asshole, I think I am just going to go ahead and say that grandpa Bret likes to drink her piss like it is dirty soda,” Jessi alleged via her Instagram Stories on November 25. “He gulps it down like water. And that is what fruity pebbles means.”

Demi, who has played coy since season 1 about what “fruity pebbles sex” meant, addressed Jessi’s comments the same day, writing via her own Instagram Story, “What my husband and I did one time behind closed doors was a consensual and private experience in our marriage.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Britani Bateman is weighing in on the now-infamous “fruity pebbles” drama surrounding Utah. “[Bret Engemann is] the ex-husband of one of my best friends, Angie Harrington,” Britani, 54, shared on the Tuesday, December 2, episode of SiriusXM’s The John Hill Show. “Angie is, I mean, talk about […]

Jessi’s revelation came amid her and Demi’s ongoing feud which began in between seasons 1 and 2 of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

Jessi confirmed during a season 2 confessional that aired in May 2025 that the pair “had a little disagreement about money,” which “rocked” their friendship after being attached at the hip during season 1.

Jessi and Demi’s issues got worse after they both appeared on Vanderpump Villa season 2 and formed respective connections with Marciano Brunette.

Jessi eventually revealed that she had a two-month emotional affair with Marciano, 32, claiming that he was pushed to share their dirty laundry after Demi allegedly leaked information about them to producers.

Demi, meanwhile, made headlines earlier this year for allegedly getting too cozy with Marciano amid her marriage to Bret, 47. She maintained that nothing romantic transpired between them, but later accused Marciano of sexual misconduct, which he denied.

Their drama has been a major story line on season 3 of the reality show and according to Whitney, the upcoming reunion will be more of the same.

“That reunion was wild,” Whitney teased on Tuesday. “First of all, Stassi [Schroeder] was an amazing host. Loved having her, great interviewer. So much great insight.”

The Dancing With the Stars alum hinted that fans are in for a treat when they tune in on Thursday, December 4. “Yeah, buckle up, girl. It’s a wild one,” Whitney added.

While Demi and Jessi have continued to publicly trade jabs over the past month, Whitney told Us that her own issues with the group have mostly subsided. (Whitney became the villain of the MomTok group during season 1 and has tried the next two seasons to live it down with very little success.)
