What Exes Paige DeSorbo, Craig Conover Said About Dating Long-Distance
Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover were open about their long-distance relationship prior to their December 2024 split.
“We spend as much time as we can together and we’re patient with each other,” Conover told Us Weekly exclusively at the October 2024 Hayu FanFest in London. “We’re in a great place and, fortunately, New York and Charleston are two awesome places to spend time. We just got to put the work in.”
The Bravo stars met while filming Winter House season 1 in February 2021, but their connection didn’t turn romantic until that May. After three years together — and weeks after Conover denied breakup rumors — DeSorbo confirmed on her “Giggly Squad” podcast that the pair had split.
“What I did want to say was that Craig and I have decided to no longer be together,” the Summer House star shared during the December 2024 podcast episode.
“I have so much love and respect for Craig,” DeSorbo continued. “I think he is one of the best people I’ve ever met in my entire life. I will remain the biggest fan of him, and want the best for him, and he truly will get the best because he is the best.”
She went on to say that the split was “the right decision” for both of them going forward.
Location became a point of contention between the former couple throughout their relationship. DeSorbo wanted to stay in New York City — she even cried about leaving her family during a 2023 episode of Summer House — and Conover wanted her to move into his Charleston home. However, the two insisted that they had it all figured out.
“We’re going to get married one day,” Conover told Us during the same October 2024 interview. “She’s a really career-driven person and she’s doing great. I’ve got the [Sewing Down South] business that’s kind of flying right now, so we’re making the best of ourselves before coming together as a team officially.”

Navigating 2 States
Conover exclusively told Us in September 2024 that he and DeSorbo are “not letting the unknown of the future ruin our happiness today,” referring to their living situation.
“Sometimes, it does get stressful and tough,” he admitted while promoting By The Way, his new Charleston bar and restaurant. “In reality, we don’t need to [live together] right now. With our ability to travel and technology, we’re very fortunate to be able to spend half our time in New York and the other half in Charleston.”
He explained that they wouldn’t “pick a place” until kids were involved.
“I could go date someone that lived in Charleston and have that structure, but it wouldn’t be the right person,” Conover added. “I think finding the right person is the hard part, and then figuring out the rest will just come in time.”
Making It Work
“Craig is my sweet, sweet, sensitive, childlike boyfriend. I have been taking care of him now for two years,” Paige said during a February 2024 episode of Summer House. “Currently, we’re still doing long-distance. But I feel, like, in a good rhythm now.”
Thoughts About a Split
Conover said during a December 2023 episode of Southern Charm that he knew DeSorbo was “not ready” to live in Charleston full-time.
“I’m so appreciative that I have someone that I get along with and that I love,” he said in a confessional at the time. “All that matters is that I’m happy and she’s supportive of me. Technically, until we have children, it doesn’t matter where we live.”
Friends Stepping In
Fellow Summer House star Amanda Batula said in December 2022 that DeSorbo would move to Charleston to be with Conover.
“I feel like Paige will follow in her mom’s footsteps of these amazing, like, dinner parties and plate settings and all of her holiday events,” she told Us at the time. “I think that’s what Paige wants and she’ll get that down south.”
Moving In Together?
Conover brought up the idea of sharing a home with DeSorbo during an April 2022 interview.
“I’m having a ton of stuff done to my house, and she’s definitely got an input on all those new changes, which really excites me,” he told BravoTV.com. “I’m getting it ready to live with a partner. … That’s definitely the direction we’re headed.”
