Trace, 35, uploaded a throwback photo with Tish, 57, via his Instagram Story on Thursday, January 23, which was set to his new single, “On the Run.”

In the snap, which was taken in 1998, Tish wore an oversized leather jacket and bright red lipstick as she sat next to a young Trace, who opted for a red jersey and a gold chain.

The upload linked back to one of Trace’s November 2024 Instagram posts promoting his music.

Tish’s husband, Dominic Purcell, commented, “Is that Miley 😂😂.”

Tish was married to Billy Ray, 63, from 1992 to 2022, with whom she welcomed children Miley Cyrus, Braison Cyrus and Noah Cyrus. “Since my earliest memories, all I can remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever. I wanted to be just like you.” Trace wrote via social media on Wednesday, January 22. “The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life. Sadly, the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like, I barely recognize now. It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you.”

The message continued: “Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away. Noah desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life and you haven’t even been there for her. That’s your baby girl. She deserves better. Somehow, just like me, she still idolizes you though. We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns.”

Trace claimed he doesn’t know what Billy Ray is “struggling with exactly” but offered his support regardless.

“I’d love to help you if you would open up and receive the help,” Trace concluded. “You know how to reach me. Till that day comes I will continue to pray for you.”

Neither Billy Ray nor his other children have publicly addressed Trace’s claims.
