The Valley’s Michelle Lally Reveals Director Involved in Affair Rumors

Michelle Lally‘s The Valley costars accused her of having an affair with a famous director, and she’s finally revealing his identity.
During the Monday, March 31, episode of her “Pursuit of Sassiness” podcast, Lally, 36, confirmed to her boyfriend, Aaron Nosler, that Quentin Tarantino was the person she spoke to at Chateau Marmont, saying, “One day, I was hanging out there and he’s actually sitting next to me. I don’t really quite know who he is, but I see that everybody’s looking at him and wanting to talk to him. And I’m not paying any attention.”
Lally recalled starting a conversation with Tarantino, 62, about real estate.
“It was just very good back and forth. He told me about the first time he bought his house and what it was like becoming a famous director while he was living in an apartment in West Hollywood,” she recalled. “It’s a great conversation.”
While bonding with Tarantino, Michelle texted her then-husband, Jesse Lally, who turned out to be a big fan of the director.
“[Jesse] wanted to hang out. He wanted to have fun. He wanted to have his moment. I’m like, ‘No, you hang out with [our daughter] Isabella. This is my moment,’” Michelle shared. “This was my day. And I took care of our child every day.”
Michelle’s personal life was a major topic of conversation when Kristen Doute claimed during season 1 of The Valley that Michelle was having an “emotional affair” with a “secret boyfriend” while still being married to Jesse, 43. (The pair called it quits and filed for divorce after production on The Valley ended.)
Jax Taylor, meanwhile, became involved when he was the first one to bring it up on screen. During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Michelle said she wasn’t aware how many claims were being made about her on the show.
“I felt very attacked and it was just one thing after the other. You’ll see that it never really stops,” she told Us in May 2024 about not seeing a “path forward” with Kristen as a result. “Just so many things happen to me. It is just hard to see a future. I don’t know. But we are nowhere close to that yet.”
Michelle also weighed in on Jax questioning her friendship with the then-unnamed director. “It’s probably a combination of both of them. I really don’t know exactly how it all started,” she added at the time. “Watching that yesterday was the first time that I had heard or seen that part. I’m a little thrown off by it. My marriage is not a game. We have a child and it’s hard to watch.”
Monday’s podcast episode offered an update on where Michelle and Tarantino stand now, saying, “To this day, he’s a friend of mine. I actually emailed him here and there. I even told him about our podcast. So maybe one day I’ll have him on if he has time or if he’s around. But he’s a great friend. He’s a great person, has a lovely wife and child, and that’s it.”
