The Kelce Family Might Have Played Mafia After Black Friday Game
Get Us Alan Cumming and a camera: Jason and Travis Kelce might be in their Traitors era.
Travis, 35, and the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium on Friday, November 29, ending with a final score of 19-17. (Taylor Swift, Donna Kelce and Scott Swift were all in attendance while People reports Jason’s family was with Travis and Taylor on Thursday, November 28.) The win was an important one for Jason, 37, who may have gotten to play Mafia this holiday weekend.
Let Us explain: Both Travis and Jason expressed their love for The Traitors during an episode of “New Heights” in September. At the time, Jason said he’d only seen season 1 of the Peacock hit, but Travis confessed he skipped “straight to season 2.”
“I’m excited after your recommendation,” Jason told his brother. “But season 1, dude.”
Jason revealed that he “played that game climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro,” an anecdote Us never saw coming. “Traitors, Mafia, whatever you wanna call it,” he continued. “You start with a group of people, a certain amount [of them] are gonna be declared ‘bad guys’ of the group. Those bad guys are anonymous, and it’s the group’s job to find out which people are the bad guys, or the ‘traitors’ in this show.”
The retired NFL player pointed out that common strategies include “mind games” and “observing” the behavior of other competitors. “Some people are good at lying and some people suck at lying,” he explained.
Travis was convinced that his brother “would f—ing crush it on Traitors,” but Jason wasn’t so sure. “I can’t lie, you know that,” he claimed. (Us begs to differ — this is a man who told his three young daughters that cats are poisonous, after all.)
To put their theory to the test, Jason suggested that the Kelces play their own version of Mafia the next time they all got together. “We’re all going to KC for Thanksgiving because you guys play Friday night,” Jason said. “After the game, we can play Mafia.”
Travis reminded his brother that football would be the No. 1 thing on his mind, only promising to be “in” for Mafia if the Chiefs pull out a win.
Games of deception aside, the Kelce family has plenty to celebrate this holiday season. Earlier this month, Kylie Kelce announced she and Jason have their fourth baby on the way, sharing a hilarious photo of daughters Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 3, and Bennett, 21 months, wearing “Big Sister” sweaters.
“I feel like we captured a very accurate representation of how each of the girls feel about getting another sister. At least Ellie, mom and dad are on the same page! 🤷♀️,” she teased via Instagram on November 22.
Jason went on to tell E! News that he’s “got it pretty easy” when it comes to prepping for another baby. “Everybody’s excited, anytime you find out [about a pregnancy],” he said. “And you know, [my] mom and dad, they got the best stage in being grandparents. They get to go and spoil them, really have fun with them, and then hand them back, so we’re the ones that got to be the bad cops. So they’re excited, for sure.”
