The Bachelor Season 29 Starring Grant Ellis: What to Know

Grant Ellis is looking for The One on season 29 of The Bachelor.

Bachelor Nation met Grant when he vied for the affections of Jenn Tran on season 21 of The Bachelorette, which began airing in July 2024. Jenn ultimately sent Grant packing, and went on to accept a proposal from Devin Strader. (Jenn revealed during the live After the Final Rose in September 2024 that the pair went their separate ways off-camera.)

“I poured everything out and it wasn’t good enough,” Grant told the cameras following his elimination. “It just sucks knowing that you feel some way about somebody, and they don’t feel the same about you.”

Grant was named the next Bachelor in August 2024, making history as the second Black Bachelor after Matt James starred on the show in 2021.

Following news of his casting, Grant revealed during an episode of “The Viall Files” podcast that he “jumped” at the opportunity to hand out roses. “I have a chance to write my own story,” he said. “So, that’s something that I’m interested in.”

Who Are the Contestants on ‘The Bachelor’?

ABC released a first look at Grant’s potential suitors in September 2024, with contestant Alli Jo catching the eye of Bachelor Nation for her uncanny resemblance to Topanga from Boy Meets World. Andrea, who’s 23 years old, is one of the franchise’s youngest contestants.

Has a Trailer Been Released for ‘The Bachelor’?

The trailer for Grant’s season aired during The Golden Bachelorette finale and After the Final Rose special in November 2024.

While on a date, Grant showed his lone wolf tattoo, which he said symbolized “being alone.” Continuing with the theme of the trailer, Grant was seen telling season 28 Bachelor Joey Graziadei, “My biggest fear is that I end up alone.”

Before the clip came to a close, Grant admitted that he wasn’t sure which of his final two he was going to pick.

“You feel like you know what you want to do?” host Jesse Palmer asked Grant, who replied that he wasn’t positive. Jesse continued: “We got both women, they’re here on standby, and of course, I have to know which to send first.”

Has a Tagline Been Released for ‘The Bachelor’?

ABC shared Grant’s promo image in December 2014, with the tagline reading, “Your wish is Grant-ed.”
