Teen Mom Alum Javi Marroquin Is Engaged to Lauren Comeau

Teen Mom 2 alum Javi Marroquin has proposed to his girlfriend Lauren Comeau.

Comeau shared the news of her engagement via Instagram on Thursday, October 18, with the caption, “𝟷𝟶.𝟷𝟼.𝟸𝟹 💍❤️,” revealing that Marroquin, 31, had actually popped the question one year prior on October 16, 2023.

Comeau’s post included several sweet snaps from the engagement at Atlantis Resort Nassau in the Bahamas along with a video, which showed Marroquin leading the bride-to-be to the proposal spot. There, she was joined by Marroquin’s son Lincoln — whom he shares with ex Kailyn Lowry and welcomed in 2013 — and their son Eli, whom Marroquin and Comeau welcomed in November 2018.

In the video, the boys each presented Comeau with a bouquet of red roses, while rose petals spelled out the words, “Will you marry dad?” on the ground. Other photos feature the family of four posing together after the proposal.

Marroquin and Comeau first met at a wedding in 2017 and welcomed Eli one year later following a whirlwind romance. Through the years, the couple has experienced their fair share of ups and downs, including multiple cheating allegations on Marroquin’s part, which caused Comaeu to leave him multiple times. The couple briefly called it quits in 2022 before reconciling in 2023.

News of the couple’s engagement comes a few months after the birth of their second baby. Marroquin and Comeau welcomed a daughter, Maizee Joelle, on May 28. “Sissy is here! 💕 Our sweet sister girl arrived last night & we are all head over heels in love 🥰,” Marroquin and Comeau captioned a joint Instagram post at the time.

The couple confirmed in December 2023 that they were expecting their second child together, writing via Instagram, “Christmas came early & we got our sweetest wish. Little sister coming this summer & we couldn’t be happier.”

Before Comeau, Marroquin was previously married to Lowry, 32, from 2012 until their split in 2016. “We’re coparenting. We’re trying to do the best we can,” Lowry exclusively told Us Weekly of their relationship in May 2021. “I think all [my relationships with my exes are] a work in progress. We have really, really good periods of time and then we’ll hit a bump in the road. I think all of them are the same in that way.”

She added at the time, “I think that a huge part of coparenting is really compromising and understanding the other parent’s point of view for the best interest of the child. Jo [Rivera] and I have been doing this for 11 years, and we’re still a work in progress.”
