Taylor Lautner’s Wife Reacts to Jason Kelce Being Team Edward

The Twilight craze has come and gone, but Jason Kelce is firmly Team Edward — and Taylor Lautner’s wife, Tay Lautner (née Dome), agrees.

“I married Jacob, and I’m still Team Edward so I get it,” Tay, 26, commented on an Instagram video posted to Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast profile. The clip, taken from the Friday, February 14, episode, showed Kylie, 32, and Jason, 37, discussing the Twilight franchise.

“Weren’t you Team Jacob?” Kylie asked in the video. Her husband was quick to share an extended response about his thoughts on the film franchise.

“I just was Team That Guy Needs to F—ing Get a Life,” Jason, 37, replied. “She was so not into him, and he was just lurking around. I just felt bad for Jacob. I had never seen the movies so when I actually sat down to watch them, I thought it was going to be this back and forth that she had.”

The former NFL star continued, “She was never into Jacob. She was into the other guy the whole time. I just remember there being [the] Team Jacob/Team Edward thing happening.”

Kylie, 32, attempted to clarify that Jason thought there was more of an “even split” when it came to Bella’s feelings for both Edward and Jacob.

“She was decided from the very beginning,” Kylie said. Jason added, “Yeah, there wasn’t a question.”

Jason noted that Jacob was “head over heels” for Bella, which is why he “imprinted” (formed a soulmate-like connection) on her and Edward’s daughter.

“It was just a sad story of Jacob,” Jason added. Kylie said, “The whole thing is creepy.”

Taylor, 33, starred as Jacob in all five Twilight movies, released from 2008 to 2012, alongside Robert Pattinson as Edward and Kristen Stewart as Bella.

He recently rewatched the series with wife Tay.

“After we finished the Harry Potter franchise, we were trying to find another franchise to watch. So, we landed on the Twilight series,” Tay said during her and Taylor’s “The Squeeze” podcast last month.

Taylor said it was a “good” experience to go back and watch the movies all these years later.

“I feel like a lot of the things I watch that I’ve done is just tough. Because you just tend to just critique yourself and just be hard on yourself and be like, ‘I wish I would have done that better, or wouldn’t have done that,’” he said. “I know that when I’ve watched them before I have done that, and it’s been tough for me to watch them and enjoy them. This time, I would say, was just a totally different experience.”
