Taylor Frankie Paul’s Mom Has Thoughts on Sex in the Fantasy Suite

Taylor Frankie Paul’s mom, Liann May, is not going to be impressed if her daughter has sex with multiple men on The Bachelorette.

“I will be so pissed if she goes in and does that. I will be so mad,” Liann shared on the Monday, October 6, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Almost Famous” podcast. “I mean, she doesn’t really care what I think but she does, but she doesn’t. It’s just weird.”

According to Liann, Taylor, 31, believes in the expression that you wouldn’t buy a car unless you test drive it.

“I hate that saying,” Liann told host Ashley Iaconetti Haibon. “And it’s like, I didn’t have sex with my husband until I got married and I already had her, right? I tried it that way first and then obviously I married and I’ve been married for 29 years so that is so not true. Our relationship is a great relationship.”

On September 10, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star was announced as the new ABC lead via an appearance on Alex Cooper‘s “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

Since then, Liann said her daughter has received some advice from some members of Bachelor Nation.

“I know she’s talked to Hannah Brown. I think she’s talked to a couple,” Liann revealed. “ I think she’s talked to Nick [Viall]. I love Nick. I wish he was the host to be honest, or Chris [Harrison]. Nothing against Jesse [Palmer].”

When Ashley, 37, agreed that Chris, 54, is missed by many, Liann added, “I love Chris. I wish they could have brought him back. I have nothing against the new guy.”

After Taylor was announced as ABC’s new Bachelorette, Us Weekly asked the reality star if she was truly open to getting engaged at the finale.

Without hesitation, Taylor said she was interested in finding her forever partner on the reality show.

“Definitely, that’s the goal here,” she exclusively told Us in September. “And as my mom likes to say, I do fall in love quickly, and that’s also the reason I did it. I always call myself a lover girl because I, like, fall for people, and I have done that in the past. Obviously, I got married young, and the first guy I dated was my second baby daddy — so it was just very quick, and this time, it’s going to be really cool, because, yes, I have been opening up to dating, but now I’m about to date, you know, 20 [or] 30 guys, and I’ve never done that before.”

Taylor continued, “I’m going to take my time, I’m going to kind of, like, get to know people. Maybe I learned things I didn’t like or do like that I didn’t even know. So I think this is gonna be really good for the long-term effect.”

When asked if her daughter could truly get engaged at the end of the season, Liann said it’s more than likely.

“With her, probably …. She likes them fast,” Liann explained. “I’m like, ‘Please take your time with these guys.’ We’ll see. She jumps into everything so quickly. I would think that by her age — she’s 31 – she would take her time a little bit.”

Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette is set to premiere in 2026.
