Stacey Silva Says Dynamics With Twin Darcey ‘Definitely Has Changed’
90 Day: The Last Resort star Stacey Silva got candid about the ups and downs she’s faced with her twin sister, Darcey Silva.
“We have our good days and our bad days,” Stacey, 50, exclusively told Us Weekly while promoting season two of 90 Day: The Last Resort. “We’re sisters, we’re family. But I will say a lot was brought up during that time. Wasn’t always easy, but it was real emotions and it was healing in a way too.”
Stacey pointed out that she and Darcey, also 50, work together at House of Eleven, their clothing brand founded in honor of their brother, Michael Silva. While reflecting on her relationship with Darcey, Stacey added that the dynamic “definitely” has changed.
After being asked whether therapy altered their connection, Stacey teased, “You’re going to have to kind of have to wait and see.”
“There’s some moments that happened that are never seen before moments in our life. I will say that I’m not proud of things that were said. But it was also real and raw and probably some of the most trying times in our life being at the retreat altogether, the three of us,” she said, referring to herself, her boyfriend, Florian Sukaj, and Darcey. “It was very trying.”
Stacey also reacted to Darcey telling Florian that he would be better off single, calling the comment “very hurtful.”
“Coming from my twin sister, I was just shocked and in disbelief,” Stacey told Us. “I just couldn’t believe she would say something like that and she did and it’s hurtful and I feel like we definitely needed to get to the root of the issue. You’ll see some of the steps that we had to take to heal that relationship.”
Prior to her appearance on 90 Day: The Last Resort, Stacey starred on the TLC show Darcey & Stacey with her twin. The series premiered in 2020 and was canceled three years later after four seasons.
Now, as she navigates her present-day relationship with Darcey, Stacey is also weathering the storm with Florian. The duo were hesitant to begin therapy before the show — but ultimately took the leap of faith and brought their relationship on the show.
“I just felt like Florian and I [had] been together for 10 years prior to therapy and we were at a place in our relationship that it was in dire need of help,” Stacey told Us. “We had dealt with numerous things throughout our relationship such as the cheating scandal and the trust issues, communication, Florian’s anger as well.”
“I mean there [were] just so many things that needed to be fixed,” she continued. “Florian was kind apprehensive at first for therapy because he doesn’t believe in it but I do. It was either this or nothing. It was make it or break it, for sure.”
90 Day: The Last Resort airs on TLC Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
