Southern Charm’s Taylor Ann Green Gives Olivia, Austen Friend Update

Taylor Ann Green called herself a “dog with a tail in between my legs” after her Southern Charm season 9 drama — but where does she stand with Olivia Flowers and Austen Kroll now?

“I was definitely worried about coming back, but I also was hoping for some redemption and for people to see a different side instead of leaving on a bad note,” Taylor, 30, exclusively told Us Weekly of her choice to return for season 10, which premieres on Thursday, December 5.

She noted that she was “very hopeful” that Olivia, 32, would also be back so fans could “see that play out.” Taylor confessed it was “unfortunate” that Olivia ultimately did not return to the show. (Olivia confirmed in July that she was not asked back for season 10.)

Taylor and Olivia had a falling out during season 9 of Southern Charm after Taylor lied about hooking up with Olivia’s ex Austen. Taylor eventually confessed to talking with Austen, 37, about dating while he was trying to work things out with Olivia. Austen later admitted to kissing Taylor.

“I’m not talking to Taylor,” Olivia exclusively told Us at BravoCon in November 2023, adding that she didn’t know if they could repair their friendship.

A year later, Taylor told Us that she and Olivia have gotten to a better place — even without being forced back together on the show.

“I think we’re on a good turn and she reached out,” she said. “I allowed that space and time for her to reach out to me if she was ready or wanting or willing, and so she did, and I think we’re good.”

Taylor explained that Olivia called her just to check in on her ahead of the new season.

“We had just started filming and she just said, ‘Hey, I’ve heard some things. I’m just checking in on you, making sure you’re doing OK,’” she recalled. “Of course [I said], ‘It’s so great to hear from you. I obviously think about you a lot. I wish you were back this season.’”

Taylor noted, “It was really good to hear from her. But yeah, it was nice of her to just say that she was checking in.”

Taylor revealed that she was “disappointed” that Olivia isn’t part of the season 10 cast, but now that Olivia is engaged to Alex Williams she admits it might be for the best. (Olivia announced her engagement in October after a September proposal in New York City.)

“She’s doing really well. She is engaged and she’s got some other things going on. So I think [in] hindsight, it worked out for the best and everything happens for a reason,” Taylor shared. “It’ll be nice for her to always have that [and just say], ‘I had that experience and maybe didn’t end on the best note.’ But she’s well loved.”

When it comes to her relationship with Austen, Taylor told Us they are also on good terms.

“We are still friends,” she confirmed. “We don’t really owe each other anything. I don’t owe him anything. He doesn’t owe me anything.”

Taylor added, “We definitely have a mutual respect for one another.”

Taylor shared that since both she and Austen have a significant other their relationship has improved. “He is dating someone and I’m dating someone,” she said, noting, “We’re not best friends, but I respect him and he respects me.”

Taylor dated costar Shep Rose from 2020 to 2022. Following their split, she kissed Austen, which caused tension among the cast.

Taylor exclusively told Us in October 2023 that she was dating someone new named Gaston Rojas. Austen, meanwhile, has been seeing Audrey Pratt since last year.

Season 10 of Southern Charm premieres on Bravo Thursday, December 5, at 9 p.m. ET.
