Southern Charm Preview: Taylor Gives Molly Approval to Date Ex Shep

Everyone in the Southern Charm cast knows about Molly O’Connell’s feelings for Shep Rose — and even his ex-girlfriend Taylor Ann Green is cool with their potential romance.

After Shep, 42, and Sienna Evans seemingly called it quits during the March 6 episode of the Bravo series, several cast members pushed Molly, 37, to try and shoot her shot while still in the Bahamas. (Shep and Sienna dated for several months in 2024 before their romance fizzled out that November.)

Molly, however, wasn’t a fan of the pressure. Once she returned to Charleston, she turned to Taylor, 30, in hopes of gleaning a little guidance.

“I’m not, like, in love with Shep or anything,” Molly tells Taylor in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek at the Thursday, March 13, episode of Southern Charm. “Everybody’s like, ‘You should go for Shep.’ I kinda feel like I’m in middle school.”

Taylor confesses, “It just seemed a little forced,” which is similar to how Molly says she felt in the moment.

“It’s embarrassing. Not because Shep’s done anything to make me feel stupid,” Molly reveals in a confessional. “It’s really everyone else in the group trying to be weird about everything.”

Taylor, meanwhile, notes that when “people put pressure on you,” it often leads to you “putting pressure on yourself.”

Molly concurs, noting that she’s “obviously seen Shep date people,” Taylor included, so she doesn’t want to start “putting my eggs in that basket.”

The America’s Next Top Model alum then teases, “I’m also, like, a decade too old for him, probably,” referring to Shep’s tendency to date women nearly two decades his junior.

Taylor, who dated Shep for two years before breaking up in summer 2022, admits to the cameras that she sees how Molly and Shep could be a match.

“Shep and Molly are both kinda quirky and weird and they have a bunch of the same values,” Taylor explains. She then quips, “Other than the fact that Molly probably doesn’t cheat on people.” (Shep confessed in 2021 to cheating on Taylor during their romance. Once they split, Taylor accused him of sleeping around throughout their entire relationship.)

Taylor reveals she wants Molly to “have some fun,” noting that Shep could be the perfect medicine for just that. “Maybe Shep is good practice,” Taylor says with a laugh. “He’s good practice [for] getting back into the dating pool.”

When chatting with Molly, Taylor advises her to “meet someone organically” and Molly once again agrees.

“F— all these men in Charleston, not literally,” Molly concludes, laughing on a bench with Taylor. “I’ll just have my three cats and my dog.”
