Sebastian Roche Teases Possible Jerry Jacks Return on General Hospital

Sebastian Roché hasn’t ruled out a General Hospital return just yet.

“Never say never,” Roché, 60, told Us Weekly exclusively while promoting the upcoming season of 1923. “No one ever dies [in the show]. I don’t know how many times I’ve died.”

Roché played the role of Jerry Jacks — who has become known as one of the most iconic Big Bads introduced throughout the soap opera’s history — on a recurring basis starting in February 2007. Roché’s debut as Jerry came when he and a group of masked men invaded the show’s Metro Court hotel.

“Starting there with that Metro Court Hostage Crisis, which became such a huge thing. I had no idea it would be so big,” he continued, “In a way, such a blessing.”

Kelly Monaco’s experience working in soap operas has been one incredible ride. Ever since she made her debut as Olivia “Livvie” Locke on Port Charles in 1999, the actress has captivated audiences with her character development and shocking story lines. The journey only continued in 2003 when she joined General Hospital as Sam McCall. Introduced […]

While Roché’s last physical appearance on the show came in 2015, his character has continued to play a part. The last mention? It was revealed in a 2019 episode of GH that the character had escaped prison. So, a return to Port Charles seems imminent.

“In the near present, nothing’s been planned,” he told Us. “You never know in these circumstances, on that kind of a show. It would be fun.”

Roché added, “You never know.”

As for what Jerry is up to now? Roché, of course, has some thoughts.

“He’s probably in the Caribbean in some beautiful villa. A bit like [James] Bond,” he speculated. “Or somewhere in the South Pacific. But you know, he’s a traveler. Traveling incognito, maybe in disguise. I like to think of him sailing, maybe in some beautiful destination.”

The Supernatural alum also gushed over the “liberty” that the creatives at GH allowed him to have with his role.

“I arrived there and everyone welcomed me with such open arms. I remember the kindness of every single cast member. I came in and I thought to myself, ‘I’m going to have a lot of fun, and I’m gonna experiment with certain things.’ They were so open to that,” Roché recalled. “They would let me be incredibly free. I found that very, very invigorating as an actor. I really found the joy again doing that because they respected my work, and they let me just go.”

General Hospital’s Jonathan Jackson is ready to return home to Port Charles. The actor was spotted on the set of General Hospital ready to reprise his role as Lucky Spencer after nearly 10 years away. “We are so very lucky (see what we did there) to have @jonathanjacksonhq back in the building…,” the show shared […]

Roché explained to Us that the storyline paired with his schedule (Roché is booked and busy) would play a huge part in him stepping back on to the soap opera’s set.

“I’m sort of segueing into writing and directing and producing,” he admitted. “That’s gonna take a lot of my time, because development is hell. But it’s part of the work.”
