QVC Host Jennifer Coffey Holds Back Tears in Final Show
QVC’s Jennifer Coffey hosted a shopping party to remember before bidding an official farewell to the network.
“My entire purpose over these last 13 years has been to inspire,” Coffey said on Tuesday, December 31. “Everyone watching has a dream in your heart right now. … Whatever your dream is, you are meant to have that dream come true. Even if it seems insurmountable — someone’s telling you you can’t. The circumstances seem too challenging — here’s what I know to be true. If you believe and know that that dream is meant to be yours, it will be yours because whatever you want, it wants you too.”
Coffey explained that she was living her own dream after receiving a phone call in 2011 to join QVC. Since then, viewers have watched Coffey get married to Davinder Athwal and celebrate her daughter, Gabby, graduating from college.
Now, she hopes to continue to inspire and empower other women through different platforms in 2025.
“I can’t wait for all of you to achieve your dreams. I promise you it is possible,” she said while holding back tears. “I’m living it myself, but that’s not important. What’s important is that you’re going to live it in 2025. I love you all so much and I can’t thank you enough for giving me your time over 13 years. It has been my honor. Thank you. I’ll see you soon.”
During the two-hour show, Coffey received well-wishes from several QVC hosts including Julia Cearley, David Venable, Mary Beth Roe and Jayne Browne.
She was able to showcase products from her favorite brands like Harry Slatkin, Barefoot Dreams, Ryka and Isaac Mizrahi.
Coffey was also able to enjoy her final show with longtime friend and coworker Kerstin Lindquist.
“You have given me all the courage and strength I need the last 13 years,” Lindquist shared before referencing her own upcoming exit. “We walked through these doors together and we’re kind of walking out the door together as well. I’m so, so proud of you.”
During the show, Coffey also gave credit to the newest hosts who have joined QVC in recent years.
She asked viewers to offer them support and encouragement as they work to present a wide variety of products to the best of their abilities.
“We’ve taken on a lot of new faces and I’ve been watching how the viewers and those of you on social media have been so supportive of them,” she said. “These are real people who are so passionate and excited and honored to be here, so I hope you continue to show them love and lift them up as they go on the same journey Kerstin and I went through 13 years ago. Give them some good words and support. They deserve it.”
