Philadelphia Eagles Diehard Bradley Cooper’s Best Moments of Fandom

Make no mistake about it, Bradley Cooper’s football fanaticism is serious business. 

Born in Abington Township, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, Cooper has been a diehard fan of the Philadelphia Eagles since childhood, well before he became a household name for appearing in movies like The Hangover, American Hustle and A Star Is Born. 

Cooper’s love for the Eagles is so strong, in fact, that as his profile in Hollywood has continued to grow — he’s been nominated for 12 Oscars for acting, producing and writing — he said he would throw away every Hollywood accolade for the Eagles to win a title. 

During a 2023 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Cooper was asked whether he’d rather take home an Oscar for his movie Maestro or see the Eagles win the Super Bowl. 

“Eagles Super Bowl victory,” Cooper told Stern without hesitation. “Eagles! Eagles! I’m sick. I’m not lying.”

October 2007

Cooper and his rumored girlfriend at the time, Cameron Diaz, were seen on the sidelines of the Eagles game against the New York Giants at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. 

“I think she’s great,” Cooper told People at the time. “We’re good friends.”

November 2012

During scenes from his Oscar-nominated turn in Silver Linings Playbook, Cooper’s character, Pat, wore a white-and-teal Eagles jersey belonging to former Philadelphia wide receiver DeSean Jackson. 

October 2015

Cooper dressed up as the Eagles mascot, Swoop, for the open of the NFL on Fox’s pregame show. 

December 2017

The actor voiced a snowball in a video produced by the Eagles, in which he talked to Santa Claus in an attempt to make amends for an incident in December 1968 when Eagles fans threw snowballs at Santa during halftime of a game against the Minnesota Vikings. 

“You know, I didn’t even want to get thrown,” Cooper, as the snowball, told Santa. 

February 2023

Cooper sat alongside Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie in his personal suite inside Glendale, Arizona’s State Farm Stadium for Super Bowl LVII between the Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs emerged victorious, 38-35. 

January 2025

Cooper took his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, to the Eagles’ Divisional Round playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field. 

In a TikTok video, Cooper and Hadid could both be seen standing and cheering from their suite. The Eagles won the game 28-22. 

January 2025

For the Eagles’ NFC Championship showdown with the Washington Commanders in Philadelphia, Cooper brought his daughter, Lea De Seine, who he shares with ex Irina Shayk. 

Cooper and his daughter were seen on the field before the game in a video posted by the NFL’s official Instagram account. 

The Eagles defeated the Commanders, 55-23, to advance to Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs.

February 2025

Cooper hit the streets of New Orleans ahead of Super Bowl LIX to hand out cheesesteaks in his Danny and Coops food truck. 

The food truck was launched by Cooper and Angelo’s Pizzeria owner Danny DiGiampietro in December 2023.
