Peter Madrigal Says ‘Logically’ He Should Be on Pump Rules Season 12
Vanderpump Rules may be getting a whole new cast, but there’s at least one familiar face who has a decent shot at returning: Peter Madrigal.
“I’m still at SUR, so, logically, [I should be on],” Madrigal, 40, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, December 5, at the grand opening of Pinky’s by Vanderpump at the Flamingo Las Vegas. “We’ll see what happens. We’ll see what they wanna do. I don’t know. I have no idea.”
Bravo announced late last month that Pump Rules will have an entirely new cast when it returns for season 12. The show was previously put on pause after season 11, which ended with many of the original SUR gang at odds in the aftermath of Tom Sandoval’s dramatic 2023 split from Ariana Madix.
According to Madrigal, the casting news has been a hot topic among guests at SUR, but he’s taking it all in stride.
“It’s gonna be interesting, let’s just put it that way,” he told Us on Thursday. “I’m leaving things in the air. I’m good.”
Madrigal was in Las Vegas to support his boss Lisa Vanderpump at the opening of her newest Sin City restaurant, Pinky’s.
“I want to try all the cocktails,” Madrigal said when asked what excited him the most about the new bar. “That’s what I wanna do.”
Vanderpump, 64, explained that the vibe and décor of Pinky’s was inspired by the glamour of Vegas in its early days.
“Oh, it’s gorgeous. It’s decadent and it’s a bygone era,” she told Us. “It’s all very creative, the food. It’s a lot of classics, but it’s really a fun way of presentation. … Everything’s gorgeous to look at. So the visuals are very important. And, of course, we’ve been restaurateurs for years, but I think some of the presentation feels like a different era.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum had trouble choosing a favorite cocktail but ultimately settled on a concoction called Daddy Issues. “It’s very pink, very fluffy. Very rich. A little bit sweet. You’re gonna love it,” she explained.
Vanderpump designed Pinky’s with longtime collaborator Nick Alain, who also worked on her other two Vegas restaurants, Vanderpump à Paris and Vanderpump Cocktail Garden. Fans who’ve been to either of those establishments, however, will soon learn that Pinky’s has a completely different vibe with its art deco accents and flamingo-forward décor.
“This is really something else. This was a nod to the historic Flamingo,” Vanderpump told Us. “It was literally taking you back in time. That was what we wanted to create. So everything about it feels very luxurious, but it’s still attainable.”
