Pat McAfee’s Family Guide: Meet His Philanthropic Wife and Daughter

Mega sports personality Pat McAfee seems to be everywhere all at once.

The former Indianapolis Colts punter now serves as an analyst for ESPN, while also hosting his own show, The Pat McAfee Show, and consistently finding his way to WWE events as a commentator — who occasionally participates in the matches.

On top of all that, he’s a family man.

McAfee is married to Samantha McAfee, and the two share a daughter, Mackenzie.

Larger-than-life sports personality Pat McAfee and his wife, Samantha McAfee, are expanding their brood. “The path that led us here was filled with needles, hormones, countless appointments, and more emotion than we ever knew two hearts could hold,” Samantha wrote via Instagram on Saturday, November 29, announcing that the couple are expecting baby No. 2. Samantha, originally from Indianapolis, graduated from the University of Southern Indiana. She was engaged to Pat in 2019, after he proposed in front of a waterfall in Hawaii.

“He surprised me by having the pilot land at the bae of the biggest waterfall I have personally ever seen,” Samatha wrote via Instagram of the proposal. “As we were taking a cute photo at the waterfall it was at that moment my boyfriend became my fiancé.”

The couple married in 2020, after needing to adjust their wedding planning because of the COVID pandemic.

Samantha is the founder and CEO of Fur The Brand, a non-profit organization that aims to raise awareness for canine cancer while providing financial assistance for families struggling to afford necessary treatment for their four-legged friends.

Fur The Brand, which ceased operation in May 2025, is a play on Pat’s signature phrase, “For the brand,” which he uses when kickers or punters — often overlooked — contribute to their team’s success.

She’s also an advocate of mental health awareness and has been open about her own struggles with anxiety.

“Mental health looks and feels different for everybody & had I never told you, you’d probably never know,” Samantha via Instagram. “I am speaking out in hopes it helps break the stigma.”

Samantha is also a big fan of Taylor Swift, who is engaged to NFL star Travis Kelce. Pat revealed to Kelce in an October 2025 episode of the tight end’s podcast, “New Heights,” that he constantly gets updates on the singer from his wife.

“[Samantha] is a massive fan of your lady, so I get updates on all the s***,” McAfee said to Kelce. “‘Here’s [them] having dinner with Wolverine and Deadpool’ and then you’re out [somewhere else]. At this point, do you still understand?”

The couple has been open about their struggles to expand their family as Samantha revealed in 2023 that she suffered two miscarriages and began trying to conceive using in vitro fertilization (IVF).

In May 2023, Pat and Samantha welcomed their first child, Mackenzie.

“Literally the biggest joy life has ever brought me,” Samantha wrote in an Instagram post.
