Pamela Anderson Reveals What Really Happened With Liam Neeson
Pamela Anderson is done playing coy about her relationship with Liam Neeson.
“If you must know, Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while, but only after we finished filming [The Naked Gun],” the Baywatch alum, 58, told People on Tuesday, December 9.
Anderson said that she and Neeson, 73, spent an “intimate week” together at his home in upstate New York, where she had her “own room.”
“Our assistants both came; even family stopped by,” she continued.
During one of their dates “at a tiny French restaurant,” Anderson said the Taken star introduced her as “the future Mrs. Neeson.” They also spent time in his garden, where she “tended to a rosebush overgrown with mint … I was happy to help, and he appreciated.”
Anderson described their time together as a “romantic lost week.” However, they ultimately went their separate ways “to work on other films” and later reconnected over the summer while promoting The Naked Gun, which was released in theaters in August.
Discussion about Neeson and Anderson’s relationship made waves in December 2024 when the Cold Storage actor told People that he was “madly in love” with the Barb Wire actress. Months later, while posing together at The Naked Gun’s London premiere in July, the pair held hands, and Anderson planted a kiss on Neeson’s cheek.
A source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time that Neeson and Anderson were “dating” after they met while filming the comedy-action film, in which they play onscreen love interests Frank Drebin Jr. and Beth Davenport. The insider added that the costars “always had chemistry while they were filming, and their friendship naturally developed into more.”
“They are both shy and have tried to stay private but the spark between them is obvious,” the source continued.
Anderson and Neeson continued to share sweet moments of PDA throughout The Naked Gun press tour. However, they also danced around the topic of their relationship.
“I had never met Pamela before. We met on set. And we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry — as two actors,” Neeson said during a Today interview when asked if he and Anderson were an “item.”
He continued, “It’s like, ‘Oh, this is nice. Let’s not mold this. Let’s just let it breathe.’ And that’s what we did.”
Anderson told People that she and Neeson were “having fun” together on the press tour. She called their connection “a little bit like a Nancy Meyers film.”
Anderson also addressed rumors that the relationship was nothing but a PR stunt.
“I always was laughing when people thought, ‘Oh, that’s a publicity stunt.’ I’m like, ‘A publicity stunt? This is real. We have real feelings,’” she said. “I adore Liam, but we are better friends, in full honesty.”
The Love, Pamela author said that she and Neeson last saw each other in August when he surprised her by attending the Williamstown Theater Festival, where she performed in Tennessee Williams’ Camino Real.
“He is such a supporter of this new trajectory in my career and kindly tells me he is very proud of me,” Anderson concluded. “I’m sure we will always be in each other’s lives.”
