Millie Bobby Brown’s Revenge Dress Moment After Slamming Haters

Millie Bobby Brown had the ultimate revenge dressing moment at the Electric State screening.
Mere days after clapping back at internet “bullies” for criticizing her appearance, Brown, 21, wowed in a ruby red dress at the event that was undeniably hot. She wore the Wiederhoeft gown from the label’s Fall 2024 line while posing at the Battersea Power station on Tuesday, March 4. The curve-hugging design featured a structured corset top and a sultry lace-up back.
While her sequined dress alone delivered no shortage of sparkle, Brown dialed up the shine in diamond-and-ruby earrings and ring suite, plus strappy red satin sandals. She matched her look to red-wine nails for a polished finish.
The Stranger Things actress also donned bombshell-worthy glam, featuring thick winged eyeliner, long lashes, rosy cheeks and red lined lips. Her platinum blonde hair was styled in sexy finger-raked waves.
Brown’s wow-worthy moment came mere days after she slammed haters for claiming she looks older than her age.
On Monday, March 3, the actress took to Instagram to call out said “bullies” including comedian Matt Lucas who had been poking fun at her “mommy makeover” look.
“This isn’t journalism. This is bullying. The fact that adult writers are spending their time dissecting my face, my body, my choices, it’s disturbing,” she said in the video.
She continued: “I refuse to apologize for growing up. I refuse to make myself smaller to fit the unrealistic expectations of people who can’t handle seeing a girl become a woman. I will not be shamed for how I look, how I dress, or how I present myself.”
Later on Monday, Lucas, 50, apologized to Brown via Instagram, clarifying that he “would not” have made a joke about her if he knew it would be upsetting.
“Nearly 25 years ago I co-wrote and appeared in a sketch show called Little Britain,” Lucas explained. “There was a character in it called Vicky Pollard, who had blonde hair and always wore a pink top, and in the photo you had blonde hair and wore a pink top so I pointed out the similarity by posting one of her catchphrases.”
He added: “I thought you looked terrific, and I was mortified when the press wrote that I ‘slammed’ you, firstly because that’s not my style, and secondly because I think you’re brilliant.”
The online criticism began back in February, shortly after going from brunette to blonde, which prompted trolls to flood social media with comments that she looked less youthful as a result of her hair transformation. British Vogue writer Morgan Fargo was quick to come to her defense in an opinion piece that said: “No One Cares How Old You Think Millie Bobby Brown Looks.” The article made its way to Brown, who shared it via her Instagram Story alongside a “thank you” note.
