Meghan Markle Teases Highs, Lows and ‘Girl Talk’ in New Podcast Trailer

Meghan Markle is giving her fans a sneak peek of her new podcast, “Confessions of a Female Founder.”

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, dropped the first trailer for her new interview series on Tuesday, March 25, teasing that it will cover the highs and lows of founding a business — and plenty of girl talk, too.

“I’m Meghan and this is ‘Confessions of a Female Founder,’ a show where I chat with female entrepreneurs and friends about the sleepless nights, the lessons learned, and the laser focus that got them to where they are today,” Meghan says in the trailer for the show, which premieres April 8.

In an interview clip, Meghan can be heard candidly discussing some of the hardships of starting a business. “I’m sitting there the next day. I’ve pissed off everybody. I’m broke, and no one’s calling me,” a guest tells her, to which she responds, “Oh, no!”

But it isn’t all just business talk. Meghan teases, “And, of course, we’re gonna get some girl talk.”

In a clip from an interview with another guest, Meghan appears to coax some personal tea from her interviewee.

“Are you saying you’re not single now? Have I missed something in the past couple of weeks?” she says as the two laugh.

The trailer concludes with Meghan sharing, “And through it all, I’m building a business of my own and getting all sorts of practical advice along the way that I’m very excited to share with you. So join me for ‘Confessions of a Female Founder’ from Lemonada Media, which, by the way, is also female-founded.”

Meghan announced the launch of her new podcast earlier this month. “I’m so proud of what we’re creating, and the candid conversations that I’m able to have with other female founders as we unpack the twists and turns of building a business,” Meghan said in a statement. “Through my friendships and relationships, we’re able to dive into the type of insights that everyone wants to know as they’re building a business, and that I’m able to tap into as I’m building my own business with As ever.”

“As female founders ourselves, Steph and I are grateful to get a chance to build alongside Meghan the exact podcast we needed when we started Lemonada,” Lemonada’s CEO and cofounder Jessica Cordova Kramer added, while Lemonada’s Chief Creative Officer and cofounder, Stephanie Wittels Wachs said, “Meghan is such a warm and welcoming person, and you feel that in her interviews. She creates a comfortable space for her guests to bring fascinating personal stories to the table and open up in a way they likely haven’t before publicly. Listeners can expect conversations that are way more break room than boardroom.”
