Love Is Blind’s Marissa Coped With Ramses Split Via Taylor Swift Music

As Love Is Blind star Marissa George navigated her heart-wrenching breakup from ex-fiancé Ramses Prashad, she did something Us knows all too well — blasted Taylor Swift music to cope.

Marissa’s sister uploaded a TikTok video of the Netflix star, 33, on Thursday, October 24, noting that it was filmed the “night after the big breakup.”

In the clip, Marissa belted “Now That We Don’t Talk (Taylor’s Version),” from Taylor’s rerecorded version of 1989. The song — heavily rumored to be about the end of the pop star’s whirlwind fling with Harry Styles —  details the painful moments of the aftermath of a breakup.

“And the only way back to my dignity / Was to turn into a shrouded mystery,” Marissa sang along. “Just like I had been when you were chasing me / Guess this is how it has to be / Now that we don’t talk.”

While Marissa was unaware that her sibling was recording the musical interlude, she didn’t let that distract her — she went on to sing “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version)” from the same LP.

“Taylor Swift helped heal my sister,” the TikTok caption read.

Marissa and Ramses, 35, got engaged during Love Is Blind season 7, which was filmed in Washington, D.C. in October 2023 and started airing earlier this month. In the final episode that dropped on Wednesday, October 23, Ramses called off the pair’s then-upcoming wedding plans.

“I understand falling in love and getting your heart broken is a risk, I understand that,” Ramses, who was previously married to a past partner, attempted to explain to Marissa. “But then last night, I spoke to my niece’s mother and my brother and we had a long conversation just talking about this decision and I learned about things and f—, I just learned that my ex was hurting much more than I realized after the divorce. And I’m just scared that something may happen where I’d end up hurting you.”

He added, “After being married and just, like, seeing other marriages, I just don’t think love alone is enough. This connection is amazing but there are certain things that you can’t get around, especially when it comes to living together and spending the day to day together that’s crazy important. That’s the thing that can potentially grind us down over time.”

Marissa, however, told Glamour earlier this month that she never got a straight answer as to why Ramses suddenly flipped on his willingness to walk down the aisle. In the profile, Marissa also confirmed that the pair remained in touch following their onscreen breakup.

“We saw each other a few times after. I took the breakup really hard, as you can imagine from the scene of me crying and stuff,” Marissa told the outlet. “It took me probably six months to get back on track and to really start to move on. I saw him a few times when I was in D.C., and there was one time where we talked one day for like, 8 and a half [or] 9 hours on the phone.”

According to Marissa, she also asked Ramses earlier this year whether he wanted to get back together.

“I’m not really ashamed to say that because I’m someone who’s like, ‘If you feel it, you feel it, like, what’s the worst that can happen?’” she recalled. “And he’s like, ‘Nah.’ So after that, we just stopped communication.”

Ramses has yet to address Marissa’s claims. The formerly engaged couple will reunite face-to-face at the Love Is Blind season 7 reunion, which airs on Netflix Wednesday, October 30 at 9 p.m. ET.

Love Is Blind is currently streaming on Netflix.
