Lisa Rinna Ditches Spiky Pixie Cut for Bouffant Hairdo on Red Carpet
New season, new hair. Lisa Rinna dropped jaws with a totally fresh look while hitting the red carpet at the Palm Royale season 2 premiere.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 62, channeled her inner ‘60s diva for the occasion and stepped out in West Hollywood with a big, bouncy bouffant that banished her signature short and spiky pixie cut.
Her usually sleek, honey-toned crop was replaced by voluminous dark brown curls — giving a nod to vintage glamour with a modern twist.
She wore a vivid, floral-print gown that was anything but subtle. The floor-length number bloomed with dramatic feathered cuffs and a matching collar, adding movement to every pose that she struck for the cameras on Tuesday, October 21.
The Apple TV+ series is set in Palm Beach, Florida, and many fans felt she channeled former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis with her bold look, especially considering her recent comments.
Rinna previously raved over Kennedy Onassis being one of her style icons, telling Vogue in September that she and model Kate Moss “just did what they felt and they were authentic to who they are. And I think that’s the key in fashion, and in life: to be authentic.”
She also talked about loving to push fashion boundaries in a recent interview with Page Six Style. “I’m game for anything,” Rinna shared on October 17. “I just have so much fun with it, that I can’t say there’s [any trend] I wouldn’t try.”
Prior to her mane change, Rinna spoke about her trademark choppy hairstyle in 2023, revealing that she went for it after the end of a relationship.
“I was taking an acting class and I had just broken up with a boyfriend,” the Bravolebrity dished during an interview with ES Magazine at the time. “Someone sitting next to me had just cut their hair off and I thought, ‘Oh my God, that’s the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.’ I asked who cut her hair and [the stylist] came to my apartment.”
Rinna has continued to show her star power while supporting her daughters, Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray, and their modeling careers after she parted ways with RHOBH in 2023. (Rinna cheered on Delilah, 27, after covering Volume 4 of SIDE-NOTE.COM’s biannual print publication and Amelia, 24, after she hit the runway at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on October 15.)
Earlier this year, Rinna’s husband, Harry Hamlin, spoke to Us Weekly about his wife’s decision to leave the hit Bravo series after eight seasons, praising her for making the call.
“It’s a breath of fresh air at this moment,” Hamlin, 73, told Us in May while promoting his and niece Renee Guilbault’s The Open Food Company and In the Kitchen With Harry Hamlin.
“We were always a little circumspect about her doing it in the beginning,” he added. “I was, for sure. But as a branding opportunity, it turned out to be great for her. I think it thickened her skin a lot too, so it’s a very difficult show to get through emotionally. But she did it and we’re still standing.”
