Kylie Kelce’s References to Jason Kelce on ‘Not Gonna Lie’ Podcast

Kylie Kelce is finding her own podcast identity with her show, “Not Gonna Lie,” but she’s thrown a few shout-outs here and there to her husband, Jason Kelce.

News broke in November 2024 that Kylie was joining Jason and his brother, Travis Kelce, in the podcast world. “Not Gonna Lie” debuted the following month, allowing Kylie to reintroduce herself. “I have a husband you might know about, he sort of dragged me into this mess,” she joked on her first episode. “I swiped right and now we’re here.”

While sitting down with her wide range of guests — from Olympian Alex Morgan to influencer Allison Kuch — Kylie has made frequent references to Jason and “the other podcast” (a.k.a. “New Heights”). She’s even told listeners what sets her show apart from her husband and brother-in-law’s, often emphasizing that “Not Gonna Lie” is about “women supporting women.”

In her initial announcement, Kylie admitted that she was “just as shocked” as everyone else that she’d be getting behind the mic. “But if everyone’s gonna be talking about me and my family, you might as well hear it from me,” she added.

Scroll down for a look at how Kylie has subtly referenced Jason on her podcast — and how she’s blatantly called him out:

Friendly Competition

“If you watch another podcast that I know the hosts of, they got better with time too. So I would really appreciate some patience, please,” Kylie teased during her debut episode.

Kylie went on to joke about one particular piece of “New Heights” lore. “My producer, we’re going to call her Queen Emma,” she said. “That’s because over at the other podcast, they have reduced an executive producer down to an intern. That’s right, you heard me. Intern Brandon is in fact an executive producer. But you know what we do over here? We lift people up.”

Look-Alike Kids

“We are so lucky that my husband makes cute girls,” Kylie said in December 2024, one month after revealing she and Jason have a fourth daughter on the way. “When you look at Wyatt’s baby pictures and Jason’s baby pictures side-by-side, it looks like we have cloned him. … Trust me, I am trying desperately to make a child that has any, any resemblance to me.”

Watching the Girls

While answering fan questions, Kylie revealed whether Jason would be taking care of their daughters during her recording sessions. “How do I say this nicely? No,” she confessed, clarifying that her stance is “not a knock on her husband” as a parent. “He is busier than he has ever been. He is working so hard and really grinding right now.”

Kylie explained that she prefers to “schedule childcare” when she’s booked up. “I just make sure I’m covered, and if that means that he’s at the house and someone else is there, then that’s what we have going on,” she said.

The Gang Goes Podcasting

Kylie’s first guest was It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Kaitlin Olson, who was surprised to hear that Kylie — a native Philadelphian — had “never seen a full episode” of the show. “[This feels] like when people walk up to Jason and they have this truth serum effect of them being like, ‘I’m not a football fan,’” she joked.

When asking Olson for episode recommendations, Kylie specifically said “the one where my husband [and his friend] Beau [Allen had] a cameo doesn’t count.”

The episode in question, “The Gang Wins the Big Game,” aired in 2018. Olson only had good things to say about Jason from his brief time on set, to which Kylie teased in response, “Try living with him.”

Jason Kelce swiped right and found love with Kylie Kelce — even if their first date got off to a rocky start. “[I] definitely fell asleep,” the former Philadelphia Eagles athlete recalled on his “New Heights” podcast in September 2023. “Got a little too inebriated, but I was sober enough to know it was the […]

Social Media Roasts

When a fan declared in December 2024 that Kylie is the funniest member of the Kelce family, Jason shared his thoughts via X, writing, “Funniest looking.” Of course, Kylie used her podcast platform to respond.

“I tell him on a regular basis that he’s not funny,” she said. “I have to do that because there’s so many people that laugh at his jokes and that tell him he’s hilarious. I’ll take it, I can be the funniest looking. I mean, the Kelce genes are strong. I am a hard outlier … so I can take that.”

She added, “I think that sometimes he forgets that I can actually see his tweets.”

Kitten-Gate

Longtime “New Heights” fans are well aware of the backstory to Kylie’s pet quest — and they know Jason has no interest in bringing home a cat. “Believe it or not, I do love and respect my husband,” Kylie teased on her podcast, sharing an update on the hilarious feud. “And if he doesn’t want a cat right now, I don’t necessarily want to do it against his will. I do think there will come a time where we break him down and that he not only says it’s OK but is on board with the decision. And in a loving marriage, I do like to respect his feelings.”

Who’s In Charge?

“I have to discipline my kids and my husband. Who are we kidding?” Kylie joked during a December 2024 episode with sports broadcaster Charissa Thompson. “It gets to bedtime and he’s launching kids onto beds. I’m like, ‘Hello, we’re winding down.’ Can we be adults for two minutes?”

The Late-Night Show

Following the premiere of Jason’s ESPN show, They Call It Late Night, in January 2025, Kylie explained how she ended up being tapped to be his announcer. “Getting roped into this is the perfect way to describe how I ended up as the announcer for this,” she explained. “My husband asked me to participate, and being the supportive wife that I am, I said yes. Hesitantly.”

When asked whether she was nervous to be featured on TV, Kylie compared the experience to her wedding day. “I was nervous about walking down the aisle because everyone’s eyes were gonna be on me,” she said. “And then the minute I could see Jason, I was like, ‘Oh, I’m fine. I can get down the aisle. I’ll just focus on him.’”

She added, “Similarly … I got to watch Jason do his thing [on ESPN] and he is the main focus and all of that, and he’s crushing it. I didn’t need to get nervous.”

Dating Horror Stories

“The landscape of online dating from when I met Jason 10 years ago to what it is now — or what I understand through the explanations of others — I’m so glad I caught it on the front end,” Kylie said while answering a listener’s question in January 2025. “First of all, I did not have any horror stories before I met Jason because I had never met up in person with someone from Tinder prior to Jason. I wasn’t on there that long. … I think I won Tinder.”
