Kim Kardashian Shares Video Crying After Failing the Bar Exam

Kim Kardashian isn’t afraid to pull back the curtain on the not-so-glamorous moments of her high-profile life.

“I’ve shared so much of this journey with you, and this summer I documented some of the final two weeks of studying — the ups, the downs and everything in between,” Kardashian, 45, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, November 16, sharing a video montage featuring her crying after she learned that she did not pass the bar exam and is, to date, not legally able to practice law.

“On November 7th, I found out I didn’t pass the bar,” she continued in the caption. “It was disappointing, but it wasn’t the end. This dream means too much to me to walk away from, so I’m going to keep studying, keep learning, and keep showing up for myself until I ge there.”

In the video, Kardashian can be seen crying as she prepared to take the bar exam she ultimately did not pass.

“Every time I feel like I’m a step ahead, something happens to try to stop me from doing this,” she says, before the video shows all that the reality TV star did for two weeks prior to her test.

“OK, the bar is two weeks away. I’m tripping a little bit, you know I’ve been studying for four months straight, canceled all work, don’t take any work calls, don’t really do anything except for being a mom and studying,” she tells the camera while standing in front of a large white board. “So, now that we’re in the home stretch the last two weeks, my kids are on a great vacation so I can focus.”

She continued, “I know that I have learned in such a different way this round. It’s like you never will feel like you’re ready but you just have to jump in when you feel like you’re close — and that’s the way everything is in life. I know that I have one shot, and I’ll shoot my shot. I’ll make it.”

Kardashian first shared the results of her bar exam on November 8, revealing that she did not pass the notoriously difficult test.

“Well…I’m not a lawyer yet. I just play a very well-dressed one on TV,” Kardashian wrote via her Instagram Stories at the time, referring to her latest role in the new Hulu series, All’s Fair.

In Sunday’s post, Kardashian revealed that she obtained the results of her test on the same day as All’s Fair premiered. She then went on to outline all that she had to do to prepare for her test, before giving a tear-filled update.

“Oh f*** I’m gonna film this, because I’m just so tired,” she said in the video. “I just want to, like, a part of me just wants to stop. I just feel like my brain is going to explode and I still have so much more to go.”

She then gave an update a week before the test, showing the actress wearing a back brace after revealing that she had thrown out her back at the most inopportune time. In one clip, Kim reads out a potential test question, in which a mother signs a contract to sell a house to her child before dying.

Kim Kardashian is sharing her unorthodox opinion on homework. The Skims cofounder — who shares kids North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, with ex-husband Kanye West — admitted that she doesn’t “believe in homework” during a recent livestream with social media influencer Kai Cenat. “But I’m going to tell you why,” she […]

“It is what it is, we’re gonna be ready,” she says. “I feel good.”

Three days prior to the test, Kim revealed that she had an MRI on her back and had “a few disk issues.” She continues with her studying and “check lists,” though, which included practicing multiple choice questions for four hours and speaking with her essay professor.

“You know everyone just thinks, ‘Oh, it’s just some online program,’ and, ‘Oh, you know.’ Try it. Try it,” Kardashian said earlier in the video, addressing criticism she has received head on. “I don’t really care about stuff like that, you know? I think that they just don’t know and they aren’t on my journey and I don’t even care for them to be.”

After showing an optimistic Kardashian the day prior to her test, the video concludes with the results of her test via a simple message:

“On November 7, 2025, Kim received her bar exam results. She did not pass. Though her attempt was unsuccessful she plans to take it again… And PASS.”
