Khloe Kardashian Shares Kris Jenner’s Thoughts on ‘Baggy Sweats’

Khloé Kardashian has long touted her mother, Kris Jenner, as her ultimate fashion role model.

“Both of my grandmothers and my mom were always so chic. I have never seen either of my grandmothers with a hair out of place,” Kardashian, 40, told The Sunday Times in an interview published on Sunday, February 16. “My dad’s mom had such exquisite jewelry and was always put-together, and my mom’s mom, MJ, owned a boutique and always looked fabulous and presentable.”

She added, “My mom won’t leave home without looking perfect. She gets mad at me if I’ve rolled out of the house in baggy sweats. She’ll just look me up and down.”

Khloé is one of Kris’ four children with late ex-husband, Robert Kardashian. The former spouses also shared Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian and Rob Kardashian. Kris, 69, also shares daughters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner with ex Caitlyn Jenner.

Khloé, for her part, defines her personal style as “modernly sexy.”

“I mix it up and like playing different characters,” she told The Times. “Right now we’re in London so it’s fitting to be more demure. I have a bow in my hair.”

According to the Good American founder, she also approaches style differently than the family matriarch.

“I’m not especially loyal to one brand. My mom is the opposite,” Khloé stated. “She’s like, ‘I’m a Tom Ford girl at the moment.’ For me, it’s whatever looks good. The other day I wore this Alaïa catsuit with sheer tights and a built-in bodysuit and I loved it.”

Khloé also wants to pass her perspective to her 6-year-old daughter, True. (She shares True and son Tatum, 2, with ex Tristan Thompson.)

“Don’t follow the trends,” she said of her advice for True. “I’m so proud of my nieces — the older ones. You know how some younger girls are wearing provocative things these days? They’re like, ‘We don’t want to wear that, we’re too young for that.’ They’re into their Billie Eilish baggy clothes and I love that confidence in them. So march to the beat of your own drum.”
