Kate Middleton Wows in Blue Houndstooth Dress for Charity Outing

Princess Kate Middleton made a stylish public appearance on Thursday, November 27.

Visiting the Anna Freud Centre in London, Kate, 43, dressed to impress in a blue houndstooth long-sleeved dress. The frock was cinched at the waist with a matching belt and featured a high-neckline with a shirt collar.

Kate accessorized her ensemble with sapphire drop earrings surrounded by a row of diamonds and light-blue pumps. For glam, Kate wore her brunette locks in loose waves that cascaded over one shoulder.

The Princess of Wales has supported the Anna Freud Centre, a nonprofit organization aimed at supporting child mental health research and treatment, for 10 years. Kate was named the organization’s patron in 2016.

For her first public engagement of 2025, Princess Kate Middleton returned to the hospital where she underwent cancer treatment. “An insightful afternoon discussing the vital role of relationships and connection in shaping children and young people’s mental health at the Anna Freud Centre,” Kate wrote in a social media statement on Thursday. “Proud to introduce a new project between Anna Freud and The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood to strengthen the skills of health visitors in supporting early social and emotional development.”

She continued, “A pleasure meeting the families who helped shape the curriculum and marking the appointment of Peter Fonagy as President of the Anna Freud Centre.”

In a follow-up post, Kate called her appearance an “important visit” to discuss the organization’s new Institute of Health Visiting project.

“This program will enhance the skills of health visitors and those who work alongside them to support early social and emotional development, ensuring more babies and young children build the foundations for lifelong wellbeing,” she wrote. “Grounded in evidence and shaped by practitioners, professional leaders, and families, the program reflects a shared commitment to nurturing relationships in the earliest years.”

Kate has slowly been resuming her public-facing duties following her cancer battle last  year. The duchess was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in early 2024, subsequently undergoing treatment. She revealed in January that she is in remission.

“You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment’s done, then it’s like, ‘I can crack on, get back to normal,’ but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult,” Kate recalled of her health battle during a July visit to a hospital in Essex. “You’re not necessarily under the clinical team any longer, but you’re not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to. Someone to help talk you through that, show you and guide you through that sort of phase that comes after treatment, I think is really valuable.”
