Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s Most Memorable Moments on RHOA
Kandi Burruss has The Real Housewives of Atlanta to thank for introducing her to now-estranged husband Todd Tucker.
While filming season 4 of the Bravo reality show in 2011, Burruss had the opportunity to meet Tucker, who was serving as a line producer for the show. A romance blossomed, which led to the pair getting engaged in 2013.
In 2014, Bravo fans were able to witness Burruss and Tucker’s wedding in a special series appropriately titled Kandi’s Wedding.
While fans hoped The Real Housewives of Atlanta couple would escape the reality TV curse and live happily ever after, Burruss announced in November 2025 that she was filing for divorce from Tucker after 11 years of marriage.
“I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family and my own growth,” Burruss said in a statement to Us Weekly at the time. “I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and I ask for privacy, grace and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”
As the divorce process continues, Us is taking a look back at some of Burruss and Tucker’s most memorable moments on Bravo — especially after news broke that Burruss is hoping to use Bravo footage in court:
Todd Tucker’s Rocky Relationship With Kandi Burruss’ Mom
Throughout his marriage to Burruss, Tucker struggled to gain the full approval of his wife’s mom Joyce Jones, better known to fans as Mama Joyce.
“My mother and Todd have unfortunately had a long and negative history,” Burruss shared in a season 12 confessional interview as producers played old clips of Mama Joyce calling Tucker an “opportunist” and other harsh words. “Then after we got married, it seemed like she was trying to get a little bit better, but then after that, I don’t know what happened. Things have started to go backwards again, and I don’t know what to do.”
Todd Tucker and Kandi Burruss United Against the Cast
During NeNe Leakes’ infamous pillow talk party in season 6, Burruss lost her cool when she defended Tucker from some tough criticism.
“I will f***ing drag you in this bitch,” Burruss told Cynthia Bailey and other cast members in an exchange that quickly became an infamous meme for Real Housewives fans.
Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s Candid Conversations
In season 12 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Tucker had a candid conversation with Burruss where he confessed, “I’m not f***ing happy.”
“I’m not really stepping out there because I’m so worried about making sure that I stay this guy,” he told his wife. “I don’t mind supporting you because I want your s*** to blow.”
At the same time, Tucker said he wanted to spend more time with Burruss and get back to production with TV and film.
“When you wanted to produce a movie, I was down with that,” Burruss replied. “That’s not my fault that you didn’t decide to move forward with it.”
Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s Wedding Special
Bravo invited viewers to Burruss and Tucker’s wedding in a five-part special titled Kandi’s Wedding. Cameras rolled as the couple planned their lavish Coming to America-themed wedding ceremony.
In the final episode, Tucker initially refused to sign a prenup, causing some friends to question his relationship with Burruss. He ultimately agreed to sign the papers four hours before saying “I do.”
Kandi Burruss’ BravoCon 2025 Message
Less than a week before announcing her split from Tucker, Burruss gave thanks to her partner while accepting the Wifetime Achievement Award at BravoCon 2025.
“To Todd, thank you for surviving the blogs, the shade, the rumors, the lies, the truths, the fights, the almost fights … reunions,” she joked. “You earned this award too.”
Some fans, however, questioned why Tucker wasn’t in Las Vegas to support his wife.
