Kailyn Lowry Shares ‘Post-Op’ Update After Tummy Tuck Revision

Kailyn Lowry has shared an update on her recovery following a tummy tuck revision.

“We’re 5 days post-op,” Lowry, 32, said in a video shared via TikTok on Saturday, February 2, adding, “I’m trying to taper down on pain meds, don’t want to get addicted. I’m severely uncomfortable. [Lowry’s friend] Sterling [Black]’s about to help me take a shower and then I’m going to do lymphatic massage. But I am getting around, it’s just a little uncomfortable.”

Lowry noted that she “did not do a butt transfer or a BBL or anything like that.” “Because we did a tummy tuck revision to combine my c-section scar with it, I have severe bruising in my butt cheek,” she explained.“And no matter what surgery you get, make sure you take laxatives or Miralax or whatever else.”

According to WebMD, doctors may recommend taking Miralax or other stool softeners after surgery. In a separate clip, Lowry revealed that she had been drinking a cocktail of Miralax and prune juice. In another shot of the Teen Mom 2 alum post-shower, Lowry added, “I’m in pain.”

Last month, Lowry opened up about struggling with her mental health and body dysmorphia after undergoing breast reduction surgery in December 2024.

“I had a very, very emotional morning, mainly just when I was taking a shower. I pray that my kids never struggle with their body images enough to mutilate their bodies to be skinny,” Lowry said in a video posted via Instagram Reels on January 6. “I think a little nip and tuck in terms of a nose job or a boob job is OK but to go through this to be skinny is [a] mental illness, truly. And I say that with the most respect to anyone going through it.”

Lowry shared an update on her recovery from the breast reduction on December 29, 2024, which marked the first time she was able to do her makeup and take a shower without assistance following the surgery.

“I’m struggling this time around,” she said at the time. “I don’t know if it’s cause I have a daughter now … not just my daughter, my sons too, I don’t want them to experience this level of body dysmorphia.”

She added, “Like, I was basically willing to go to any length and do this over Christmas break to be skinny — even if that meant [fiancé] Elijah [Scott] couldn’t be there for me. Even if that meant I was in another state for Christmas. I was willing to go to any freaking length for it.”

Lowry is a mom to seven kids. She welcomed son Isaac in 2010 with Jo Rivera, son Lincoln in 2013 with Javi Marroquin, and sons Lux and Creed in 2017 and 2020, respectively, with Chris Lopez. She welcomed son Rio in 2022 and twins Verse and Valley in 2024 with Scott.
