Justin Baldoni will open up about his “intense year” in a podcast filmed before his legal battle with Blake Lively.
Baldoni, 41, appeared to wipe away tears in a promo clip for his upcoming appearance on the “Gent’s Talk” podcast, which was filmed in November 2024.
“I had a intense year,” Baldoni said in the clip, which was published on social media on Saturday, February 9.
Later in the clip, Baldoni mentioned that he experienced anxiety and said he planned to open up about things which hadn’t been shared publicly at the time of filming: “I haven’t talked about this yet but…”
It’s not known if Baldoni will share new details about his experience working with Lively, 37, on the podcast episode, which is due to be released on Monday, February 10.
In an Instagram Story to promote the episode, the “Gent’s Talk” account wrote that host Samir Mourani “chats with Justin about the film, domestic violence, his relationship with his father, mental health, marriage and masculinity.”
It added that the interview was filmed in Baldoni’s “Man Enough” studio in L.A. during the press tour for It Ends With Us, which Baldoni directed and starred in alongside Lively.
Lively filed a legal complaint against Baldoni in December 2024, accusing him of sexual harassment during filming. The Gossip Girl star also claimed that Baldoni attempted to launch a smear campaign against her.
Baldoni denied Lively’s allegations, and in January 2025, he filed his own lawsuit against the actress, alleging that she was “determined to make Baldoni the real-life villain in her story” to mask her alleged “tone-deaf” promotion of the film. Lively denied Baldoni’s claims.
In an interview with Us Weekly, licensed psychotherapist Marni Feuerman said the decision to go public with their lawsuits will have emotional consequences for both Lively and Baldoni.
“As of now, Blake and Justin have not chosen [a private] route and instead have gone in the opposite direction, basically declaring war on each other,” Feurman said. “[This] is certain to increase the emotional price they’ll pay both during the process and when trying to heal in the aftermath.”
