Juliana Pasquarosa Breaks Down What Went Wrong With Grant Ellis Romance
The Bachelor season 29 winner Juliana Pasquarosa is finally sharing her side of the story after her split from Grant Ellis.
“Honestly, I know Grant and I have tried our very best to kind of keep a lot of things under wraps just because I know that he cares about me and I do care about him and I don’t want him to have any negative backlash by any means,” Juliana, 28, said on the Tuesday, December 2, episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast. “But I think there’s a little bit of clarity due here.”
According to Juliana, when she woke up days after the finale — where she accepted a proposal from Grant, 31 — aired in March, there were “words exchanged” between the pair that made her feel “completely alone and isolated.” Juliana noted that she had “expressed some severe hurt” and felt like she was “carrying a lot of emotions between both parties” while watching the show back.
“His mental headspace was my top concern because I cared about him and I wanted to make sure he was OK. He was getting a lot of backlash,” Juliana said, explaining that “nothing” runner-up Litia Garr said during the finale “struck a nerve” with her. “I think it was just a matter of how it was handled on his end and trying to get him to take some accountability in that.”
For those who may not recall, Grant faced backlash when Litia claimed on After the Final Rose that he told her he should “stop the show” early because she was his No. 1. Grant later exclusively told Us Weekly that there was “a lot” Litia said that he “didn’t align with.”
“I was really upset and I, probably, spoke out of anger and said some really hurtful things that night before,” Juliana said. “And then when we woke up, the first thing he said to me was he had game-planned different ways we could announce our breakup. And I hadn’t even made that decision on my end.”

What Went Wrong In Juliana Pasquarosa and Grant Ellis’ Relationship
After Grant shared that he had “game-planned” ways for them to announce their split, Juliana said she was set to come home from Los Angeles.
“I was like, ‘That is how we are going to start this day and have this conversation?’ After everything I felt like I did for us, and putting myself on the backburner, it’s back to the optics. It’s back to what people are going to think. And not about us and our relationship. It’s what the outside world thinks and I couldn’t handle that anymore,” she said.
When asked whether there is anyone she is interested in in Bachelor Nation, Juliana confirmed there was — and teased that his last name initial starts with the letter M. (She didn’t expand, but she had Us thinking she could be talking about newly single Dale Moss or Blake Moynes.)
Where Juliana Pasquarosa and Grant Ellis Stand Today
Juliana shared that she and Grant do not speak today, but have talked since their split. “Which is why I think I got a little defensive when he said we didn’t just because I didn’t understand the logic behind that. But we don’t talk. I wish him well, to be honest,” she said.
Where Juliana Pasquarosa and Litia Garr Stand Today
Juliana claimed that she asked Litia not to share with the other contestants that she was engaged to Grant, but the runner-up allegedly revealed the news.
“It rubbed me the wrong way and it made me upset. It made me a little bit weary of the friendship,” she shared, explaining that she gave Litia “grace” and the pair continued to have a “friendship at arms distance.”
Juliana alleged that she texted Litia before After the Final Rose and did not receive a response back. Juliana explained that she has since decided to “withdraw” herself from the friendship.
Later in the episode, Juliana shared it was “disheartening” that Litia “went on a podcast and insinuated things about my sex life” and alleged second runner-up Zoe McGrady chimed in to confirm. (Juliana is seemingly referring to Litia’s comments on the “Relationsh*t With Kamie Crawford” podcast that Grant was intimate with someone in the Fantasy Suites, while Zoe, 27, later said via TikTok that it wasn’t her.)
“I think it was such a dagger. It added fuel to this fire that she was the easy choice and he just chose lust over love. And I think it was so embarrassing for me to deal with that. I was embarrassed for my family. I was embarrassed for my employer. I was mortified that people that didn’t know me would think that I slept with this man just to get a ring on my finger or to win a reality show,” Juliana said. “I think that truly if I [were] her I would be embarrassed for saying that because I think as women we do have to stick together.”
Juliana said that she’s not calling Litia “ugly,” but it’s “ugly behavior.” She added, “And that’s not the case. And that wasn’t the case. I would just love to put that to bed so that she can stop talking about it and I can stop getting some DMs calling me some uncomfortable names because somebody is out there saying that I’m sleeping around to get a ring.”
Where Juliana Pasquarosa Stands With Dating and Bachelor in Paradise
Juliana explained that she went on a couple dates with one person in Boston that she met during a “stoop date,” but they allegedly “couldn’t handle” the eyes surrounding their relationship. “I was like, ‘Totally understand. No hard feelings,’” Juliana shared.
While it was “challenging to comprehend” the thought of going on another reality show initially, Juliana said she would be “interested” in appearing on a season of Bachelor in Paradise. When asked whether she would “be OK” with Grant also being on the show, Juliana said she’d “like to think” she would be fine.
“I don’t know what emotions kind of would come flooding out of me if that was the case. If that came to reality. I’m sure my heart would sink a little bit,” Juliana said, predicting that it would be “uncomfortable” watching him form connections with others and would be “self conscious” about him seeing her do that. “I would probably pack up my stuff the minute his feet touch the sand. But that would just be for my peace of mind, no bad blood, nothing of that nature.”
