Jets’ Quincy Williams Dresses Up In Joker Costume Ahead of Rivalry Game

Quincy Williams was not joking around with his pregame outfit.

The New York Jets linebacker showed up to his team’s rivalry matchup against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, December 7, dressed up in a Joker outfit — complete with sinister facepaint portraying the late Heath Ledger’s 2008 portrayal of the villain — paying homage to the special “Gotham City Football” uniforms that the team is wearing for the game.

Williams — who has long talked about his adoration of the iconic Batman bad guy — showed up to Metlife Stadium in full white facepaint and eyeliner, with the classic red smile that the Joker is known for.

He also dyed his hair green to complete the look.

The team posted a video on Instagram of Williams rocking the outfit to the stadium.

Williams is no stranger to the costume, dressing up as Joker for Halloween in 2024. On Sunday morning, he posted a clip of Jack Nicholson as the Joker from the 1989 film, “Batman,” teasing the outfit for the game.

The Jets are wearing special jerseys for Sunday’s game against the division rival Dolphins, which includes a black matted helmet, Gotham Green jerseys and pants and special number fonts and nameplates.

The team got off to a nightmarish start on Sunday, giving up three touchdowns to the Dolphins in the first quarter and falling behind 24-7 at halftime.

It’s been an up-and-down — mostly down — season for the Jets, who sit at 3-9 on the year and in the basement of the AFC East division.

On Thursday, December 4, Williams was nominated for the 2025 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, recognizing players who “demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact beyond the game.”

“Being nominated for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award is an incredible honor,” said Williams in a statement. “I’m grateful to the Jets organization and everyone in the community who has supported me. Giving back and making a difference off the field means just as much to me as playing on Sundays. I hope my work inspires others to help lift up those around them and create lasting change together.”

Williams is being recognized for his off-the-field work from earlier in the year when he invited five young fans who have fought cancer to serve as honorary captains at the Jets Crucial Catch game on October 5.

He also organized a football camp at Miles College that reached over 200 youth participants and provided mentorship and sports training.

“It’s Quincy Williams the human, the person who’s always smiling, who’s getting this award, and not just a football award,” Williams told the media after practice on Thursday. “It means a lot just getting nominated for it. Winning it would be another level.”

He continued, “Most of the time, I’m just giving back to the community out of the kindness of my heart, and it also makes me happy just seeing other people smile. … I’m not really doing it for an award, I was just going to hang out with people and on top of that giving back. They told me this was a reward for that and I said, ‘Hold on now.’ My reward is mostly the smiles on people’s faces and the conversations.”
