Jessica Alba Recalls Filming ‘Humiliating’ Naked Fantastic Four Scene

Jessica Alba is looking back on the highs and lows of playing Sue “The Invisible Woman” Storm in the Fantastic Four movie.

While appearing at the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia on Friday, December 5, the actress admitted her “least favorite scene” was when her character reappeared completely naked over a bridge.

“I thought that was awful,” Alba, 44, said via Variety. “It was very humiliating in real life. I grew up with a pretty conservative family, and I am a pretty modest person. I dreaded that scene for weeks. I have a lot of whiplash from those days.”

That’s not to say all of Alba’s memories from Fantastic Four were negative.

Which of these hot tickets will be your No. 1 this season? From stars Julia Roberts to Jennifer Lopez, love stories and life stories, and a surprising amount of music — including the Boss and Broadway — Us Weekly is rounding up the most anticipated films for fall. In the two-part blockbuster’s epic conclusion, Wicked: […]

The Honest Company cofounder said her character was a woman she could look up to.

“She was very maternal and very kind, but also not a pushover; she spoke her mind,” Alba explained. “She had a great moral compass. No matter who you are, you can look up to her. Oftentimes, the women in these stories need to be saved by a guy or the villain, the problem in the story. This was back then. It’s different now.”

Twenty years after Fantastic Four was released, actress Vanessa Kirby took on the role of Sue Storm in this past summer’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Although the film was released in July, Alba said she has not seen the finished project just yet.

“I usually watch those movies with my kids and if Sonic was out, my son wants to watch it 85 times in a row,” she said. “When it comes to movies that are for the family, my kids dominate what we watch for sure. But I have to convince him because we have to see it! I love Marvel, and they’re so fun.”

Alba shares Honor, 17, Haven, 14, and Hayes, 7, with estranged husband Cash Warren. News broke in January that the couple had decided to separate after 16 years of marriage.

While Alba remains interested in acting, she’s also focusing more of her time on working behind the scenes.

In 2024, Alba launched Lady Metalmark Entertainment, which is focused on bold, female-driven and culturally rich storytelling.

Jessica Alba and Danny Ramirez’s romance got off to a hot start. The pair first sparked dating speculation in early July 2025 when they were seen arriving back in Los Angeles after a vacation to Cancún, Mexico. Shortly after, a source confirmed to Us Weekly that the two were “seeing” each other but were “keeping […]

During her conversation at the Red Sea Film Festival, Alba brought up the fact that women control more than “70 percent of the household income.” As a result, the entrepreneur believes they should have more of a voice in the entertainment industry.

“I believe we need to have entertainment that speaks to us. Just because a woman is a lead and a powerful person who can think for herself, it doesn’t mean it’s not for men,” she explained. “Maybe we should have a little less of women who need to be saved all the time. And in our country in particular, the Latino audience loves entertainment; we watch it more than any other group of people.”

Alba’s next project is expected to be a role in a 2026 film called Maserati: The Brothers. The movie tells the story of the brothers behind the iconic Italian car.
