James Kennedy, Ally Lewber Are Taking ‘Some Distance’ After His Arrest

James Kennedy appears to be experiencing some distance from girlfriend Ally Lewber after his domestic violence arrest.

Lewber’s parents “have come into town and they have gotten an Airbnb and have taken her there,” a source close to the situation exclusively told Us Weekly, adding that the couple “are having some distance but it’s not over.”

The insider explained that Lewber’s parents are planning on taking her back to her hometown in Ohio “where she was always planning on spending the holidays.”

“James has their dog right now,” the source continued. “He played a [DJ] gig this weekend and has no plans to change any of his schedule of gigs.” Kennedy also plans to move forward with his upcoming slate of shows alongside Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio beginning in February 2025.

Us has reached out to reps for Kennedy, 32, and Lewber, 28, for comment. Photos obtained by TMZ showed Kennedy carrying Lewber’s personal items into her car over the weekend.

Kennedy’s relationship with Lewber was put under the microscope earlier this month after he was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence. (He was later released on a $20,000 bail.)

According to police records obtained by People, a woman reportedly told the Burbank Police Department on December 10 that “her boyfriend lifted her up and threw her to the ground.”

The arresting officer had originally been called to the scene for an “unknown problem.” It is not clear whether Lewber made the statement.

“We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations levied by the Burbank Police Department against James,” Kennedy’s attorneys previously said in a statement to Us. “We understand that there were no injuries and we are hoping that, after careful review, the city’s attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.”

As for Lewber, she has kept a low profile ever since the arrest was made public. The astrologer, however, did express gratitude to fans in a social media post.

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support and for checking in on me,” Lewber wrote via her Instagram Story on Saturday, December 14. “I’m OK and taking the time I need right now. I deeply appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time.”

Kennedy and Lewber have been together since early 2022. Their relationship would play out on Vanderpump Rules for seasons 10 and 11.

Before Kennedy’s arrest, Bravo announced season 12 of Vanderpump Rules would feature a brand-new cast. After the news broke, Kennedy reflected on his success thanks to the show.
