Jack Schlossberg Jokingly Calls His Grandmother Jackie Kennedy ‘Hot’
Jack Schlossberg is known for his unfiltered commentary, and now he’s taking heat for asking followers on social media to rank the attractiveness of his grandmother Jackie Kennedy Onassis and JD Vance’s wife, Usha Vance.
The Vogue political correspondent took to X during the second inauguration of President Donald Trump on Monday, January 20, and asked the question, “True or false: Usha Vance is way hotter than Jackie O.”
Schlossberg’s post drew immediate backlash, with one X user replying, “That’s your grandmother!!!!”
“Gonna be honest man, I think most people don’t do hotness rankers involving their grandmas,” someone else replied, while others wrote: “Are you that desperate for engagement?” and “It’s not too late to delete this.”
Later Monday, Schlossberg, 32, acknowledged that he’d trolled the internet by comparing the former First Lady, an enduring style icon, with Usha, who stepped into her new role as Second Lady when her husband was sworn in as vice president.
“I’m a literal pervert,” he quipped via X. “I called my grandmother hot… have I totally lost it ? Jesus … this kid will do anything for attention. Your grandfather would be ashamed. Seriously. Time to get a job.”
Schlossberg is the sole grandson of Kennedy Onassis and President John F. Kennedy, and the youngest son of Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg. He entered the spotlight last year after his quirky videos for TikTok and Instagram went viral. In July, he was hired by Vogue to cover the 2024 presidential election.
“I’m just having a good time. I’m a fun, wacky guy,” Jack said in a recent interview with the Anna Wintour-edited fashion outlet. “I’m a silly goose — a silly goose who’s trying, just trying, to get the truth out there.”
His playful, provocative posts sometimes get him in trouble. Earlier this month, Schlossberg falsely claimed via X that he was representing Justin Baldoni in his legal battle against Blake Lively.
“I agreed to take on JUSTIN BALDONI as a client. Why? FAIRNESS,” Schlossberg wrote at the time. “EVERYONE is entitled to a FAIR TRIAL and ZEALOUS DEFENSE. Justin has NOTHING to hide, Justice will be his revenge. After BOSTON MASSACRE, John Adams represented the British at trial. Same s—, different day.”
Though Schlossberg was only joking, fans and media alike fell for it, with some outlets publishing stories claiming that he was, in fact, Baldoni’s lawyer.
Schlossberg passed the bar exam in 2023 and graduated from Harvard Law School the year prior. He jokingly doubled down on his Baldoni hoax, posting on New Year’s Day: “My personal feelings about Justin Baldoni are irrelevant. Justin is my client, I’m his lawyer. even the most heinous individuals have the right to counsel for their defense. I am not a hero. I’m just doing my job.”
