How Bill Belichick’s Girlfriend Reacted to NFL Honors Age Gap Joke

Bill Belichick and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson’s 48-year age gap was the subject of one of the 2025 NFL Honors’ funniest — and most surprising — jokes.

“I’ve been a football fan for a long, long time. I mean, I remember back when the [Dallas] Cowboys was good. I remember back when the [Kansas City] Chiefs was bad,” host Snoop Dogg said during his Thursday, February 6, opening monologue. Continuing to emphasize how long he’s been an NFL fan, Snoop, 53, went on to joke, “And I remember when, what was it, Bill Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t even born yet.”

The comment sparked strong reactions from the audience, including Hudson, 24, whose mouth opened in surprise before laughing it off. Belichick, 72, didn’t seem bothered by the joke as he simply smiled while the camera was on the two of them.

The couple used Thursday’s ceremony (which took place in place New Orleans) as a fun date night. Hudson shimmered in a silver sequin dress with a bold midriff cutout and accessorized the look with one of Belichick’s six Super Bowl rings. The former New England Patriots coach sported the other five rings on his right hand, and wore a maroon blazer, white dress shirt, black tie and black trousers.

The pair’s relationship has garnered much attention since they first sparked romance rumors in 2023. Former Patriots player Rob Gronkowski appeared to confirm reports that Belichick was dating a younger woman during Netflix’s The Roast of Tom Brady special in June 2024.

“Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we sucked,” Gronk, 35, stated. “But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School: you were scouting your new girlfriend.”

Tom Brady also took a jab at his former coach’s dating life, stating, “When somebody asked me which ring was my favorite, I used to say, ‘The next one.’ Now that I’m retired, my favorite is that Ring camera that caught Coach Belichick slinking out of that poor girl’s house at 6 a.m. a few months ago.”

Multiple outlets confirmed in June 2024 that Belichick and Hudson had been dating for over a year.

As the pair began to make their relationship more public, former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick joked about their age gap when he reacted to Hudson dressing as Belichick for Halloween in October 2024. “For all you 48-year-old hopeless romantics out there just think your future person may not even be born yet,” he wrote via X at the time.

They made their red carpet debut at the American Museum of National History’s 2024 Museum Gala in December 2024. That same month, Belichick signed a five-year contract to become the head coach of the University of North Carolina’s football team. Hudson celebrated her boyfriend’s new gig by creating custom bedazzled team merch for herself.

Hudson reflected on their relationship in a New Year’s Instagram Story post earlier this year, writing, “Nothing changed for us in 2024 except for ‘public knowledge’; yet somehow everything changed.” She added: “Going strong. I can’t wait to take punches for you in 2025.”

Prior to dating Hudson, Belichick was married to Debby Clarke — with whom he shares three kids — from 1977 to 2006. He moved on with Linda Holliday the following year and the two dated for 16 years before calling it quits in 2023.
