Hook Cast: Where Are They Now?

If you believe in fairies, there’s a good chance you grew up loving the 1991 film Hook.

The Steven Spielberg-directed adventure movie starred the late Robin Williams as Peter Banning, a.k.a. the grown-up version of Peter Pan who traded in eternal youth in Neverland for a relationship with Wendy Darling’s (Maggie Smith) granddaughter, Moira (Caroline Goodall).

After adulthood causes Peter to forget his true identity, he rediscovers himself while traveling back to Neverland to rescue his kids Jack (Charlie Korsmo) and Maggie (Amber Scott) from his arch enemy, Captain Hook (Dustin Hoffman).

Dante Basco, who played the mohawked Lost Boys leader Rufio, reflected on working with the late Williams while celebrating the film’s 30th anniversary in 2021. “He was such a loving and caring actor and mentor for me during that time in my life,” he shared in an interview with ScreenRant.

Basco went on to note that Williams — who died at age 63 in 2014 — “had a way of putting his arm around me and going like, ‘No, man. You’re welcome. This is for you,’” adding, “I’ll never forget him for that.”
