Heather Dubrow, Terry Dubrow on Josh and Heather Altman’s MDLLA Exit
The Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, are standing by their pals Josh Altman and Heather Altman after they decided to leave Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles.
“We’re friends and as you know, I did that once [from RHOC] as well,” Heather Dubrow, 55, exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, November 15, at the 6th Annual Vanderpump Dog Foundation Gala. “I think when you prioritize your family, you can’t lose.”
Josh, 45, and Heather Altman, 39, confirmed in October that they were leaving MDLLA after season 15 in order to “start a new chapter in life” and focus on their family. The couple, who got married in 2016, share daughter Lexi, 7, and son Ace, 5.
Not only are Heather Dubrow and Terry, 66, close friends to the Altmans — the Botched doctor told Us he just spoke to Josh “yesterday” — but the real estate couple has mentored their eldest son. (The Dubrows share twins Max and Nick, both 20, daughter Kat, 17, and son Ace, 13.)
“Our son Nick, after his freshman year of college, got his real estate license, and he just thought Josh was so cool and was like, ‘Do you think I could ever intern for him?’” Heather Dubrow recalled on Friday at The Maybourne Beverly Hills. “He called him and had a blast. He just loved working with Josh. The funny thing was you saw him on Million Dollar Listing.”
She added, “Nicky is in the Altman Brothers office and working there, and they’re filming Million Dollar Listing. One of the people from the production team went up to Nick and he was trying to mansplain to him about the cameras, ‘Hey, don’t look into the camera. We’re gonna put a mic on you,’ Nicky is so sweet and saying, ‘No problem.’ Josh walks over and goes, ‘He’s been on TV since he was 5. Stop talking.’ It was really funny.”
Heather Dubrow joined RHOC in 2012’s season 7, often showing glimpses into her marriage and life with four kids. While she initially left the show after 2016’s season 11, she returned five years later.
“I think it was a really good season. I think that the audience really enjoyed it,” Heather Dubrow told Us on Friday, teasing a potential season 19. “Although some people think I have a lot of control [over] these things apparently every year, [I don’t]. Let’s see what producers do. Let’s see what Bravo wants to do, but I feel like it would be fun to get some more new blood into the mix.”
She added, “I feel like we keep bringing people back. I think it’s time to keep moving forward.”
With RHOC currently on hiatus, the Dubrows stepped out to support Lisa Vanderpump and her nonprofit on Friday.
“We love Lisa, and she is one of the true originals,” Heather Dubrow gushed to Us. “Lisa’s love of animals has always been in the forefront of what she puts out into the world. We love animals, and we love our dogs. We very much believe in adopting and not shopping, and we just want to be here and support.”
