Grosse Pointe Garden Society Star-Studded Cast: Where You Know Them From

Grosse Pointe Garden Society is intriguing not just because it’s a murder mystery, but because of its star-studded cast.

The NBC series, which premieres on Sunday, February 23, follows four members of a suburban garden club “who find their lives intertwined by scandal, mischief and a shared secret — a murder no one wants to talk about,” according to the official synopsis. As the dark truths “begin to rot their lives under the surface, they struggle to remain as perfect as the flowers blooming in their garden above.”

At the center of Grosse Pointe Garden Society is Melissa Fumero, Aja Naomi King, Ben Rappaport and AnnaSophia Robb. The show also stars Matthew Davis, Alexander Hodge, Nancy Travis and Felix Wolfe. Before the show’s premiere, Fumero spoke exclusively to Us Weekly about why she’s drawn to spookier projects.

“They just happen to come up for me,” the actress shared in December 2024 after her darker arc on Peacock’s Based on a True Story. “So something about me screams mystery. But I’ll take it. It’s a genre that I enjoy and I’m not complaining.”

Melissa Fumero

Before joining Grosse Pointe Garden Society as Birdie, Fumero made her acting debut as Adriana Cramer on One Life to Live. Fumero went on to play Amy Santiago on Brooklyn Nine-Nine from 2013 to 2021. Her other small screen roles include guest spots on One Day at a Time, Diary of a Future President, Lopez vs Lopez, Night Court and Based on a True Story.

Melissa, who has been married to David Fumero since 2007, has also tried her hand at directing

Aja Naomi King

King plays Catherine on Grosse Pointe Garden Society after her breakout role on How to Get Away With Murder. King has also appeared on Sylvie’s Love and Lessons in Chemistry, the latter of which earned her an Emmy nomination.

Aja shares a son with husband Dan King.

Ben Rappaport

Grosse Pointe Garden Society introduced Us to Rappaport, who plays Brett. The actor got his start on NBC with a role on Outsourced before appearing on The Good Wife, Mr. Robot, Younger, Ozark and For the People.

AnnaSophia Robb

Robb got her start as a child star with movies such as Because of Winn-Dixie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Bridge to Terabithia, Soul Surfer, Rebel Ridge and more. On the small screen, Robb has appeared on Samantha: An American Girl Holiday, The Carrie Diaries, The Act, Dr. Death and now Alice on Grosse Pointe Garden Society.

Robb has been married to Trevor Paul since 2022.

Matthew Davis

Before joining Grosse Pointe Garden Society as Joel, Davis was a familiar face on multiple shows on The CW including The Vampire Diaries, Legacies and Cult. Davis’ role as Warner on Legally Blonde is equally iconic.

Davis shares two daughters with ex-wife Kiley Casciano.

Nancy Travis

After getting her start in theater, Travis had a breakout role in Three Men and a Baby. She moved on to TV with roles on Rose Red, Becker, Last Man Standing, The Kominsky Method, Ride and now plays Patty on Grosse Pointe Garden Society.

Travis shares two kids with husband Robert N. Fried.
