Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas Bring Sons to Zootopia 2 UK Premiere
Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas were accompanied by two of the cutest dates to the Zootopia 2 premiere in London.
Goodwin, 47, and Dallas, 46, stepped out at the Sunday, November 23, premiere of her new animated film dressed in black-and-white ensembles. While Goodwin stunned in a white gown with a cape, her husband looked dapper in a classic black suit with a velvet blazer.
The pair were joined by sons Oliver, 10, and Hugo, 8, who twinned in navy suits and black glasses.
Goodwin and Dallas’ kids made their debut red carpet appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of Zootopia 2 earlier this month.
“We have never let our children go to Hollywood anything,” Goodwin told E! News on November 13. “We’re very private, we ‘heart’ out their faces on social media. We’ve explained to them we’re still not gonna be posting about them and they’re not allowed to Google themselves.”
She continued, “And then they say, but their friends are going to, and I’m like, ‘That’s fine. We’re not their parents.’ We were like, ‘You’re right.’ This is a family thing for us, Zootopia.”
Goodwin voices Judy Hopps in the animated film, which initially surprised her boys.
“For like years, they thought that I was doing an impression of Judy Hopps, and they thought it was not a good impression, either,” she quipped to the outlet. “Tonight’s the first time that my boys are gonna see it.”
Goodwin and Dallas met on the set of ABC’s Once Upon a Time, where they played Snow White and Prince Charming. After their characters fell in love, the two actors sparked a romance offscreen.
“I mean, after the read-through or the pilot. Yeah, it was pretty soon,” Dallas exclusively told Us Weekly in 2020 of falling in love with Goodwin. “I think it happened very organically and actors playing opposite each other never fall in love off sets, do they? That never happens in this business. But, two kids later, we’re still going strong, so it’s a great thing. Just look at Ginnifer Goodwin. Look at her mind and the way it works. It’s like, how could you not [fall in love]?”
Dallas and Goodwin tied the knot in 2014, the same year they welcomed Oliver. Son Hugo followed two years later in 2016.
“Every day is a milestone,” the Manifest alum told Us in 2015 after becoming a first-time father. “He can climb the stairs like a ninja [and] hold his own bottle. Every day, there’s a milestone that amazes you as a parent. … Sleep is elusive — a slippery devil. I can’t seem to ever catch it. There’s somebody else that you have to take care of, you don’t think about yourself anymore. But it’s a pleasure to do that — he’s my little dude.”
Since then, Dallas and Goodwin often opt to keep their kids’ lives relatively private but do like to share the world of Zootopia with them.
“There were years when I wouldn’t tell them I was Judy Hopps,” she recalled to Entertainment Tonight in 2024. “My eldest was like, ‘Mom, you don’t sound like that rabbit.’ It was a couple of years later that they really understood. It was really, honestly, it’s a movie that they watch over and over and over again. We’re all able to separate that I was in it.”
