Georgie and Mandy’s Montana Jordan Got Proposal Help From Emily Osment

Montana Jordan revealed the role his Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage costar Emily Osment played in his proposal to now-fiancée Jenna Weeks.

“The woman that made Emily’s ring, I reached out to her. [Emily] gave me her number and I reached out to her, and that’s who created my fiancée’s ring,” Jordan, 21, exclusively told Us Weekly during a press day at Warner Bros. Studios Lot in Los Angeles. “So Emily has helped us through the process a little bit.”

Jordan got engaged to Jenna Weeks in January after four years of dating. Meanwhile, his costar got married to Jack Anthony in October 2024 after three years together. The exciting personal developments came as Jordan and Osment’s hit CBS series debuted to critical and fan acclaim.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, which premiered in October 2024, follows the couple as they balance marriage and parenthood after moving in with Mandy’s parents. The show in some ways hit close to home for Jordan, who welcomed a daughter with Weeks in May 2024.

Bill Inoshita/Warner Bros. Young Sheldon has ended but The Big Bang Theory universe continues to grow with spinoff series Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. The Big Bang Theory, which aired from 2007 to 2019, starred Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper), Kaley Cuoco (Penny Teller), Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter), Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz), Kunal Nayyar (Raj Koothrappali), […]

“It definitely helps me realize what Georgie’s going through,” Montana told Us about his experience as a father on and off the screen. “If you’ve never been through it in real life, it’s kind of hard to understand what he’s going through. So being a young parent myself, I feel for him a couple times. I just wish that I could give him a pat on the shoulder sometimes. But it really has brought authenticity.”

Despite being a lead on his own show, Jordan is determined to stay grounded.

“I go back to Texas and I reset. So this schedule we get two weeks on and one week off. So on that one week off, I’m hitting my butt back to Texas so I can reset and continue finding who I am,” he explained. “Then I come back to work and I feel like if I didn’t do that then I could possibly get a little full of myself. Because when you’re around stuff like this and you get so much attention — so much attention — it could probably get to you. But it isn’t getting to me.”

Jordan has previously credited Osment, 32, for helping him navigate fame as well, telling Us in October 2024, “Even just in real life, the way that we clicked and we always got along. [Emily] is so professional and good at what she does. We’ve always had a good chemistry and always gotten along. It shows on the TV and I think people enjoy it.”

Young Sheldon‘s spinoff Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage isn’t afraid to address the controversial 12-year age gap between the fictional couple on screen. Georgie (Montana Jordan) became a fan favorite after The Big Bang Theory expanded with a prequel about Sheldon’s (Iain Armitage) time as a child prodigy growing up in Texas. Sheldon’s older brother […]

At the time, Jordan reflected on how accessible his show is.

“You can watch Young Sheldon without knowing anything about The Big Bang Theory. And I believe you can watch this new show without watching Young Sheldon,” he told Us. “It’s a new start. We’re starting a new thing and you get to follow Georgie and Mandy as they go through all these trials and errors in life. It’s a very relatable topic and everybody knows about it and it’s not a secret.”

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage airs on CBS Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
