Gavin Rossdale Has a New Cooking Show: Watch the Trailer

Turns out Gavin Rossdale can wield more than just a guitar and a microphone — the Bush frontman is a rockstar in the kitchen as well!

“Hey, I’m Gavin Rossdale, welcome to my kitchen,” the rocker, 59, says in the trailer for his new cooking show, Dinner With Gavin Rossdale, which Us Weekly can exclusively debut.

Set against the backdrop of his Hollywood Hills home, Rossdale personally designs, cooks and serves a three-course meal for each of his celebrity guests — including Brooke Shields and Serena Williams — on the series, which premieres on February 13, 2025, via Vizio on WatchFree+.

But for Rossdale, the most important element of the show is the conversation.

“It’s not my nature to, like, pat myself on the back,” Shields, 59, reveals in the trailer. When Rossdale responds, “You’re so mean to yourself. We’ve got to work on that,” Shields jokingly changes the subject: “Can I eat some cheesecake? Jesus, are we getting into life again?”

Rossdale told Us that developing a cooking show was a full circle moment for him, as his first breakout song with Bush, “Everything Zen,” begins, “There must be something we can eat.”

Gavin Rossdale is a proud papa, but when it comes to his kids, his rock star status doesn’t hold much weight. “My kids don’t applaud me at all. Shocking,” Rossdale, 58, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, May 30, while promoting Bush’s new album, Loaded: The Greatest Hits 1994-2023. “I make these great dinners, big […]

“The best part about food is that it’s a bit like music in a sense because there’s no particular competition in music or food,” he said. “I’m really happy if I can have three great new records to play, and so it’s really always about the battle itself. If I can make a really fantastic dinner for you, you can make a fantastic one for me tomorrow.”

While he doesn’t consider himself a professional chef by any means, he acknowledged he “has a bit of a knack for this.” But at the end of the day, he says “food was a secondary thing to talking to these great people.”

Among the many topics discussed with his esteemed guests was parenting children with privilege, something he and Williams, 43 — who is mom to Olympia, 7, and Adira, 17 months — could relate on.

“[My kids] have this incredible life, but it’s always a balance with how to keep the values and work for things and not expect things to happen overnight,” Rossdale — who shares sons Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10, with ex-wife Gwen Stefani and is dad of daughter Daisy, 33, from a previous relationship — told Us. “I’m really proud of all my children, all individuals with really good values and very sweet, amenable good people.”

In fact, his children were part of the reason he pursued the show.

“I wanted to find a way to not have to travel for work and leave my kids all the time,” he told Us. “I love traveling and I love playing. The sacrifice is that I just miss my kids horribly. … [The show] is a great lesson in being tenacious and just holding onto an idea and hoping it works. A bit like my music career, everything takes time.”

In addition to Shields and Williams, Rossdale engages in spirited conversation over dinner with Selma Blair, Tom Jones, Common and Jack McBrayer on the show.
