Garcelle Beauvais Reveals on RHOBH She Went on a Date With Sean Penn
Garcelle Beauvais has had some pretty famous first dates.
“I have a question. Who’s the biggest star you ever went on a date with?” Erika Jayne asked her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costars during the show’s Tuesday, December 3, episode. Garcelle, 58, was quick to name-drop some A-listers.
“Eddie Murphy, Will Smith, Sean Penn,” she replied.
Erika, 53, responded, “Oh, I didn’t know about Sean Penn.”
Erika further weighed in on Garcelle’s admission during her confessional.
“Well, I just want to know if Garcelle dated Eddie Murphy, Sean Penn and Will Smith, why did she marry the man she married?” Erika wondered. “Why not marry one of them, you know? I mean, that’s what I would have done.”
Garcelle hasn’t been shy about her past romance with Will, 56. She discussed the fling during a 2020 episode of RHOBH when Will’s ex-wife, Sheree Zampino, made an appearance on the show. (Garcelle and Sheree are good friends and joked about having a partner in common.)
“He was hot,” Garcelle said of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum. “He was a bachelor, I was single, you know, it happens in Hollywood.”
Following her famous flings, Garcelle was married to talent agent Mike Nilon for nearly 10 years. They went their separate ways in 2011 after she discovered his infidelity. The exes share 17-year-old twins Jax and Jaid. (She also shares son Oliver, 33, with ex-husband Daniel Saunders.)
“We were sort of, like, the Hollywood couple. I’m an actress, he’s an agent. We would go to fabulous parties, we’ve got these two beautiful boys,” Garcelle said of Nilon during a 2020 episode of RHOBH. “Mike was reliable. He was sweet. I really thought this was my last stop.”
However, things went awry when Garcelle saw an “I love you” text on her phone from another woman. She later sent an email to his coworkers exposing the affair, and her message eventually leaked online.
“I go, ‘Hey, what’s this?’ And his face changed,” she recalled during the same episode. “And he said, ‘I’ve been having an affair.’ And I said, ‘How long?’ And he said, ‘Five years.’”
Garcelle noted that she never found out the woman’s identity.
“I have no idea what happened. I was devastated, so I didn’t care what happened to her,” she said at the time. “My priority was taking care of my children, and now I feel like it’s my time.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Peacock.
