Days of Our Lives Sneak Peek Uncovers Human Bones, Biothreats and More

Days of our Lives fans better buckle up, because the twists and turns of season 61 are just beginning.

In Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek of the soap opera obtained on Tuesday, November 25, Peacock is giving viewers a preview of what’s to come in Salem as the show celebrates more than 60 years of shocking moments.

“In Salem, everything in shadow comes to light, and even love comes at a price,” the preview states. “This time, no secret stays in the dark.”

From the jump, human bones have been found that could shake up the lives of several cast members. In addition, a bio threat situation has the hospital on high alert.

Todd Williamson/Peacock (3) The Days of Our Lives cast knows how to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. For more than 60 seasons, the soap opera has provided more than a few OMG plot twists thanks to surprising courtships and love triangles, mistaken identities, murders, medical emergencies, kidnappings and more. “In this medium, […]

On the romantic side, Leo Stark (played by Greg Rikaart) appears ready to propose while Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) announces she’s pregnant.

As for Julie Williams (Susan Hayes), she just wants to enjoy a peaceful holiday season without any drama.

“It’s really a blessing for all of us to be together,” she shares, “to hang the ornaments on this tree in this place, this home.”

Ultimately, not everything in Salem is merry and bright.

Tate and Holly (Leo Howard and Ashley Puzemis) appear more distant than ever before an intense sit-down.

“You wanted to put everything that’s happened behind us,” Tate says before Holly replies, “What? Would you want me to pretend everything’s perfect when it clearly isn’t?”

Perhaps one of the most shocking moments comes when Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers) goes head-to-head with Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).

“What the hell is wrong with you, Xander?” she asks in one scene. “Save it! I can’t stand to look at your face!”

After 60 years on the air, Days of Our Lives has seen its fair share of memorable stars in Salem. Married…With Children actress Christina Applegate appeared on the soap opera as a 3-month-old baby named Burt Grizell in 1972. Long before marrying Ashton Kutcher and starting a family of her own, Mila Kunis played a […]

Earlier this month, Peacock hosted a Days of our Lives 60th anniversary celebration at The Garland Hotel in North Hollywood, California.

During the star-studded event, many cast members gave Us even more exclusive details about what’s to come.

“Gabi is going to fall in love,” Cherie Jimenez teased about her character. “And then you can imagine it is Salem. It’s not gonna come without some speed bumps, but she’s gonna fall in love.”

Robert Scott Wilson, who plays Alex Kiriakis, said there will be a “lot of love and a lot of disrupted love.”

“And a lot of unwanted guests,” he added. “There are some that stick around longer than you can imagine, and they’re making us work for it. It’s interesting to say the least.”

One cast member gave credit to the writers for putting an emphasis on family. According to Eric Martsolf, who plays Brady Black, fans may notice more family dynamics being front and center.

“They’re integrating stories so that everybody is affected by what’s going on in the town,” he teased. “I can’t be specific about it, but I think it’s always cool when a soap opera can integrate 42 cast members and have one story that affects all of them, and it also brings characters together that don’t normally get to interact with one another. So it’s cool. Fans are going to be very, very surprised by this giant thing that comes up. I wish I could tell.”

Days of our Lives streams exclusively on Peacock, with new episodes available weekdays.
