Chrishell Stause Admits to Intentional Shade at Traitors Costar Tom Sandoval

Chrishell Stause has no love for Tom Sandoval.

The Selling Sunset star admitted that she intentionally left her Traitors season 3 costar out of an Instagram post promoting the latest season of the Peacock game show.

“Yes, I did [intentionally leave him out],” Stause, 43, responded to a fan question during a Wednesday, January 15, appearance on the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen After Show.

Back in November, Stause shared promotional images and a trailer for The Traitors season 3 via Instagram, including her fellow castmates’ headshots. Sandoval, 42, was conspicuously absent from the post.

“No, I don’t want him on my page,” Stause told host Andy Cohen and fellow guest Lisa Barlow on Wednesday’s WWHL After Show. “I hate him.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Barlow responded, “Hate’s a strong word,” to which Stause said, “Exactly.”

Though Stause didn’t elaborate on why she hates Sandoval, she has publicly supported Sandoval’s ex, Ariana Madix, in the wake of the Vanderpump Rules duo’s messy breakup in 2023. In March of that year, Sandoval was caught cheating on Madix with costar Rachel “Raquel” Leviss.

Sandoval apologized to Madix in a statement shared via Instagram at the time. “I want to first and foremost apologize to everyone I’ve hurt through this process. Most of all, I want to apologize to Ariana,” he wrote. “I made mistakes, I was selfish and made reckless decisions that hurt somebody I love. No one deserves to feel that pain so traumatically and publicly.”

He continued, “I can only imagine how devastating this has been for Ariana and everyone around us. I feel really horrible about that. My biggest regret is that I dishonored Ariana. I never meant to disappoint so many people, including our loving families and friends.”

Despite hoping to put the past behind him, it seems some of Sandoval’s Traitors costars aren’t easily forgetting his affair.

In the first episode of Traitors season 3, Nikki Garcia and Gabby Windey had a visceral reaction to seeing Sandoval arrive at the Scottish castle where the show takes place.

“Oh my gosh, do you see who it is?” Nikki, 41, asked Gabby, 34, who replied, “Is that Sandoval? I am not saying hi to him.”

Nikki laughed at Gabby’s reaction, adding, “I know, right?”

During the premiere episode, Stause questioned whether Sandoval suspected her as a Traitor because of her friendship with Madix, 39. “Do you think it’s because I’m friends with Ariana and he knows that?” she asked Garcia, Dylan Efron and Danielle Reyes. “That’s sabotage.”

“Probably. That’s so not cool. That is sabotage,” Garcia responded.
