Chris Jones Asked Travis Kelce for Taylor Swift’s Pop-Tarts Secret

Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones cannot get enough of Taylor Swift’s homemade baked goods — and who can blame him?

“You know what, shout-out to Tay Tay,” Jones, 30, told the Kansas City Star on Friday, February 7, ahead of the 2025 Super Bowl. “Her Pop-Tarts are amazing.”

He continued, “I was asking Trav [because] I don’t know how she gets the crust of the Pop-Tarts so fire. The crust tastes like biscuits, I swear to you. But, shout-out to Tay Tay, she’s a real one.”

Swift, 35, has been dating Jones’ Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce since summer 2023, often cheering on the NFL squad’s victories. The pop star also likes to bake homemade treats for her friends.

After the Chiefs won a regular season game in November 2024, Swift sent Jones and partner Sheawna Weathersby, who share two sons, a box of “Victory Pop-Tarts.” Weathersby, who often sits with Swift and fellow Chiefs partner Chariah Gordon in a private suite on game days, shared footage of the treats via her Instagram Story.

The Pop-Tarts, decorated with either white or blue frosting and an array of multicolored sprinkles, came in a personalized box.

“Victory Pop-Tarts!” Swift wrote on the exterior. “Congrats!! Love, Taylor.”

Jones and Kelce, 35, are not the only NFL stars to get to taste Swift’s culinary creations.

“Kind of behind-the-scenes … she likes to cook, so she made the offensive linemen these homemade pop-tarts,” Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said in a February 2024 interview at the NFL Scouting Combine. “So it was over. She knew right where to go. She didn’t give me one, and the offensive linemen definitely didn’t give me one.”

Kelce, meanwhile, has gotten to see Swift’s behind-the-scenes cooking process in action. In an April 2024 YouTube short, Swift shared a brief snippet of Kelce kissing her cheek while she tossed vegetables in a sauté pan.

“I thoroughly enjoy cooking with her, so it’s something I’d rather keep personal,” Kelce later quipped during a June 2024 press conference when asked about their favorite recipes to make. “Taylor makes a great Pop-Tart and cinnamon roll.”

Swift recently traveled to New Orleans to support Kelce and the Chiefs in the Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, February 9. She is expected to watch the game — decked out in red, naturally — from a private suite alongside Kelce’s family and friends.

Ahead of the NFL championship, Swift and Kelce went to dinner with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, at Lilette on Friday.
