Camille Grammer Reacts to Glenn Close Reenacting Dorit’s RHOBH Rant

Camille Grammar is more on board with Glenn Close calling her a “stupid c—” than Dorit Kemsley.

Eight-time Oscar nominee Close, 77, appeared on the Thursday, January 9, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen and agreed to offer her own take on Kemsley’s “profanity-laced tirade” against Grammer during a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“Awesome! Epic. Glenn for the win!” Grammer, 56, commented on the WWHL Instagram post, which showed Close’s dramatic “Clubhouse Playhouse” performance. “I had the privilege of meeting Glenn years ago with my ex-husband. She was lovely and very down earth.”

Kemsley yelled the c-word several times (and so did Close) during a verbal altercation with Grammer during the December 17 episode of RHOBH. Curses started flying after Kemsley started arguing with fellow cast member Sutton Stracke. (Kemsley and Stracke’s tension has continued throughout the season.)

Grammer noted that she was “sorry to butt in” but felt like she had to share her opinion about Kemsley.

“Years ago, my house burned down. I lost my house, I lost my assistant of many many years and I didn’t get a lot of compassion or empathy from some — especially Dorit,” she said. (Grammer’s Malibu mansion was destroyed in the Woolsey fire of 2018; in an unrelated incident her longtime assistant Scott MacLean died around the same time.)

Kemsley responded: “Honey, you were a total c— to me.”

She continued with a rant that became the script for Close’s scenery-chewing monologue on Thursday’s WWHL.

“You were a total c— to me. I called you a stupid c—. Not a f—ing c—. I did it as a joke. I said you’re a stupid c— as a joke. You know I did. It was a joke. You knew it. You always knew it, Camille,” Kemsley said. “And you just used it because you needed a moment. You’ve always needed a moment. Where have you been Camille? What are you doing here? You need a moment?”

In her confessional Kemsley continued: “Once upon a time, I regretted calling Camille [spells out c—]. Now, I feel like Camille’s a stupid f—ing c—.”

For context, Kemsley first referred to Grammer as a “stupid c—” while on the sauce during a dinner filmed for RHOBH season 8 back in year 2017.

“Dorit, everyone’s entitled to act stupid once in a while, but you really abuse the privilege,” Grammer said during her confessional at the time.
