Bridgerton Cast Shines on the 2025 SAG Awards Red Carpet

The Bridgerton cast put on a show while walking the red carpet at the 2025 SAG Awards.

Many of the actors from the hit Netflix series showed their support at the Sunday, February 23, event, held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Hannah Dodd, who plays Francesca, made a statement in a red gown while Adjoa Andoh opted for a bright green option.

Bridgerton received two nominations after season 3 followed Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope’s (Nicola Coughlan) love story. Coughlan, 38, got a nod for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series while the rest of the cast was honored in the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series category.

The hit Netflix series, which is based on the book series written by Julia Quinn, centers around members of the wealthy Bridgerton family as they search for love in 19th century London. Season 1 followed Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset’s (Regé-Jean Page) romance, who were the central couple in the first book, The Duke and I.

Season 2, meanwhile, took inspiration from The Viscount Who Loved Me, which followed Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) finding love with Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley). Despite Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) being the subject of the third novel — An Offer From a Gentleman — his love story with newcomer Sophie (Yerin Ha) was pushed to season 4.

Instead, the third season focused on Colin and Penelope Featherington story as told in Quinn’s book Romancing Mister Bridgerton. The surprises kept coming after showrunner Jess Brownell confirmed that there is an estimated two-year wait for season 4.

“We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited and then they have to be dubbed into every language,” Brownell told The Hollywood Reporter in June 2024. “The writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace. We’re trying to speed up, but somewhere in that range.”

Bridgerton is currently streaming on Netflix.
