Brianne Howey Teases ‘Surprising’ Ginny & Georgia Season 3
Get ready, peaches — Ginny & Georgia season 3 will bring an array of twists and turns.
“We see entirely new sides of Ginny and Georgia,” star Brianne Howey exclusively told Us Weekly at the 2025 WWD Style Awards on Friday, January 3. “I feel, like, [it’s] surprising ’cause we’ve already seen so many sides of them, but lo and behold, there’s more.”
Howey, 35, portrays the titular Georgia in the multi-season Netflix drama about a young single mother who moves her family to Wellsbury, Massachusetts after a scandalous past. Ginny & Georgia also stars Antonia Gentry (Georgia’s daughter, Ginny), Diesel La Torraca (Georgia’s son, Austin), Felix Mallard (Felix Baker), Sara Waisglass (Maxine Baker), Scott Porter (Paul Randolph) and Raymond Ablack (Joe).
A third season was renewed in May 2023 with few details confirmed except that the latest batch of episodes will hit the streaming giant later this year.
While speaking with Us on Friday, Howey teased just three adjectives to sum up the story lines.
“Oh my gosh: It’s uplifting, heartbreaking and hysterical,” Howey quipped.
Ginny & Georgia season 2 dropped on Netflix in 2023, in which Georgia and Austin finally discovered their mother’s murderous past. By the finale, Georgia is arrested on her and Paul’s wedding day for the murder of fellow Wellsbury resident Cynthia’s husband. (Georgia kills her frenemy’s terminally ill husband after learning Cynthia blocked Austin’s dad Gil’s application to move to Wellsbury.)
“Did you believe it? She’s coming from a good place,” Howey previously told Us in January 2023. “She’s trying to put this man out of his misery and she’s trying to help this woman move on and not feel guilty about it and try to keep this pristine image of Zach’s father for Zach. But yes, that’s exactly what ruins the house of cards.”
Now that filming for season 3 is wrapped, Howey is enjoying both the red carpet glamour at events like the WWD Style Awards and the quiet moments in home life with her 18-month-old daughter and her husband, Matt Ziering. (Howey gave birth in June 2023 but has not publicly shared her daughter’s name.)
“My happy place is with my daughter,” she gushed on Friday before going on to share Ziering’s most romantic moment. “It was maybe a few years ago, but he surprised me with [a] hotel room and flowers and champagne, and you can’t really go wrong [with that].”
