Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds Attend SNL 50 Amid Justin Baldoni Lawsuit

Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, made a surprise joint appearance at the SNL 50: The Anniversary Special amid their ongoing legal battle.
Lively, 37, and Reynolds, 48, walked the red carpet together in New York City on Sunday, February 16. While the Deadpool & Wolverine actor opted for a classic Thom Sweeney suit, Lively donned a metallic Tamara Ralph gown with embroidered 3D flowers — a possible homage to her recent film It Ends With Us.
For glam, Lively wore her blonde locks in loose waves that cascaded off one shoulder and accessorized her ensemble with diamond drop earrings and coordinating rings.
Lively and Reynolds have been embroiled in an ongoing lawsuit with her It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni. After Lively worked with Baldoni, 41, on the set of the 2024 film, she named in him a sexual harassment lawsuit. Lively also accused Baldoni of fostering a “hostile work environment” and allegedly trying to destroy her reputation.
Baldoni, for his part, vehemently and repeatedly denied the allegations before naming both Lively and Reynolds in a $400 million defamation suit. He claimed the Gossip Girl alum was “determined to make Baldoni the real-life villain in her story” to mask her alleged “tone-deaf” promotion of the film.
Baldoni went on to accuse Lively of using the release of It Ends With Us, a film about domestic violence, to promote her alcohol and hair care brands. He also condemned her team’s decision to market the production with the tagline, “Grab your friends and your florals” since Lively’s character, Lily Bloom, was a florist.
Lively, however, denounced the accusations.
“This latest lawsuit from Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and its associates is another chapter in the abuser playbook. This is an age-old story: A woman speaks up with concrete evidence of sexual harassment and retaliation and the abuser attempts to turn the tables on the victim,” Lively’s lawyers told Us in a statement last month. “This is what experts call DARVO. Deny. Attack. Reverse Victim Offender. Wayfarer has opted to use the resources of its billionaire co-founder to issue media statements, launch meritless lawsuits, and threaten litigation to overwhelm the public’s ability to understand that what they are doing is retaliation against sexual harassment allegations.”
A trial is currently scheduled to begin in 2026. Earlier this month, Lively and Baldoni’s respective camps rejected settling the dispute in mediation.
While Lively and Reynolds have remained in NYC, Baldoni and his family have found solace in Hawaii.
“We’re grateful to be with the family, man,” Baldoni told TMZ reporters in January. “We have amazing friends and family and faith.”
